Plans to make Covid-19 passports a legal requirement for large events are set to be dropped, The Telegraph understands.

A government spokesman said: “The Covid status certification review is ongoing and no final decisions have been taken yet. The Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster will update Parliament after recess.”

Quoting studies, the Goa government on Friday defended the use of antiparasitic drug ivermectin for prophylaxis treatment for Covid-19 before the Bombay High Court bench in Goa and claimed that WHO’s opinion on the drug is flawed.

“There are some reports which have found that the analysis by WHO on this medicine is flawed and that the mortality rate is actually much lower if the said medicine is used for early treatment as well as prophylaxis,”

Ministers must act now to arrest the shocking decline in children's mental health

“Before all of this I had a happy-go-lucky child but now my bubbly 14-year-old is just flat and deflated”, a parent wrote to me last week.

That our children are struggling with their mental health is, sadly, a common theme, and one borne out by report after grim report. A paper by the British Journal of Psychiatry published in February found that 7 per cent of children in the past year had attempted suicide by the age of 17, as did findings from the Prince's Trust study in January that one in four young people say they’re unable to cope with life as a result of the pandemic.
