A council run by Liberal Democrats is allowing workers to have the same pay for a four day week. Bin collectors will work 30 hours a week instead of a tiring 37 hours a week. Eight out of ten British workers are in favour of working a four day week. I bet they’re in favour of a two hour day and 26 weeks holiday too. And to make things worse (for the economy) there is now a campaign among young `workers’ to do as little as they can get away with when they’re supposed to be working.
They call it ‘quiet quitting’ – a new synonym for laziness.

YouTube was doubtless a good idea when it started. I expect the originators may have had good intentions – they, perhaps, hoped to provide members of the public with a place for new ideas and for discussion. But I fear that the platform has allowed itself to become a tool of the devil-worshipping oppressors who are working hard to destroy mankind.
If you do stupid things on roller skates or leap out of a tree into a vat of blancmange then your videos will be safe. YouTube doesn’t censor the puerile or the pathetic.
But the platform’s censors do not approve of facts, free speech, original thought or any sort of public debate.

It seems Charles III wasn’t only proclaimed king of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland at the weekend. Apparently he became king of the world, too. ‘The world has a climate king’, gushed one green observer. A writer for Forbes went one better, pleading with His Majesty to be a ‘climate monarch’ and to use ‘the power of the bully pulpit’ – seriously – to ‘influence climate policy’ around the world. The best thing about having a climate king, says this commentator who wants His Majesty to bully us eco-spoiling plebs, is that his clout means he’ll be able to sway the minds of Brits and non-Brits. The downside, of course, is that unemployment will hit around 30 million as just about every business in the country will go bust. It is easy to show that health care in Britain is worse today than it was 50 years ago. And arguably it is worse than it was 70 years ago. Indeed, it is worse than would be acceptable in many backward, third-world countries.
Health care in Britain has been doing more harm than good for many years because the NHS, which provides most of the health care in the UK, is dangerous, absurdly bureaucratic and wildly expensive. It has been dying for a long time.
