Usuall in Italian words we find letters like è, ò, à, ì, ù, called "accenti." These only appear with vowels and mostly at the end of words.
These aren't for decoration because they have different sounds and can change the meaning of the whole word and tell you where to stress the word.

papa, papà -> pope / dad

e, è -> and / is

li, lì -> them / there

da, dà -> from / gives

si, sì -> herself/himself

te, tè -> you / tea

o, ò -> or / oh!

la, là -> the / there

There are two ways to say "I love you" in Italian: one for your lover and one for your friends and family.

The first is "Ti amo"
The second is "Ti voglio bene"

Here are some affectionate Italian phrases....

Mi manchi -> I miss you

Un abbraccio -> A hug

Pensavo a te -> i was thinking about you

Abbi cura di te -> take care of yourself
