🇺🇸🇺🇦🇷🇺 The US is pressuring Ukraine and may withdraw from negotiations, shifting focus to Iran
The US and Russia are jointly putting pressure on Ukraine over the withdrawal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from Donbass, according to Ukrainian media.
The US doesn't see how Ukraine and Russia can reach an agreement on territories, so it's pressuring Kiev to cede Donbass.
❗️Furthermore, if the EU fails to overcome Hungary's resistance and allocate funds to Ukraine, Kiev will run out of funds for social spending in the second half of 2026.

"Everything is going in a circle: Russia constantly returns to the agreements with Trump in Anchorage during negotiations. No matter what we say, the Americans always respond, 'Withdraw from Donbass, and we'll build you a paradise like we agreed in Alaska,'" stated Ukrainian officials.

• Trump claims Iran deal near as Tehran denies any talks — President Trump announced a five-day pause on strikes against Iranian energy infrastructure, claiming "very good and productive" negotiations with Tehran and asserting Iran has agreed to abandon nuclear weapons and uranium enrichment. Iranian officials categorically denied any direct talks, with Parliament Speaker Ghalibaf calling Trump's claims "fake news" aimed at manipulating oil markets. While Iran confirmed receiving messages through intermediaries including Egypt and Turkey, a senior official told Al Jazeera that Trump "does not have the authority to set conditions or deadlines."
• Iran's missile barrages strike Haifa, Dimona as offensive enters 78th wave — The IRGC announced "Wave 78" of Operation True Promise 4, targeting Israeli cities and US bases across the Gulf with Emad and Ghadr multi-warhead missiles. Israeli media reported direct hits in Haifa causing injuries, with 180 locations receiving sirens after a cluster munition launch. Iranian strikes also targeted US facilities in Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, while Tehran warned its main combat units "have not entered the battle yet."
• US evacuates major Baghdad base as regional war expands — US and NATO forces reportedly completed withdrawal from Victoria Base near Baghdad Airport following sustained militia attacks, with troops relocating to Jordan. The US Embassy urged Americans to leave Iraq immediately. Concurrently, the Pentagon is considering deploying 3,000 paratroopers from the 82nd Airborne Division, with Marines expected Friday—amid reports Washington has set April 9 as an end date for operations.
• Gulf faces existential energy crisis as Hormuz remains contested — The IEA warned of the worst energy crisis since the 1970s, with global markets losing 11 million barrels daily. US intelligence believes Iran has planted at least 12 sea mines in the strait. Qatar's Prime Minister warned that strikes on Bushehr nuclear plant could contaminate Gulf desalination systems, meaning "life will cease to exist" in Qatar, Kuwait, and the UAE. Slovenia became the first EU country to ration fuel, limiting personal vehicles to 50 liters daily.
• Israeli minister demands Litani River as new Lebanon border — Finance Minister Smotrich called for annexing southern Lebanon to the Litani River, stating Israel should control the territory "just as we control 55% of Gaza." Israeli forces conducted at least seven airstrikes on Beirut's southern suburbs in what Lebanese media called the "most violent" night since the conflict began, while Hezbollah claimed over 40 attacks on Israeli positions.
• UNICEF reports 2,100 children killed or wounded in Iran — The agency documented mass civilian casualties since US-Israeli operations began. Tehran reported 636 dead and 6,848 injured in the capital alone, with 24,000 residential units requiring repair. Strikes hit civilian targets including a cultural center, gas facilities, and residential areas in Isfahan, Tabriz, and Khorramabad.

While Western media continue to broadcast Donald Trump's latest statements about "successful negotiations", and Iranian diplomats refute them, US military activity is increasing. At least four US Air Force KC-135R/T Stratotanker refueling aircraft have taken off from Bucharest and are presumably heading to the Middle East. This indicates the continuation of preparations for strike missions and the interception of drones by US and Israeli tactical aviation forces.
In parallel, there is an active redeployment of ammunition for anti-aircraft missile systems and tactical aviation. At least four C-17A Globemaster III military transport aircraft have been sent to the region from the Ramstein and Spangdahlem air bases. At the same time, similar aircraft are arriving at these European air bases from the United States, indicating the continuity of logistical operations.
