ðĐðŠðĪĄð ðšðļð·ðšðĒ Third Reich descendant Friedrich Merz confirmed the G7 countries' dissatisfaction with the temporary lifting of US sanctions on Russian oil.
ðŧAccording to Merz, during the discussion with the US president, six G7 members "were absolutely unanimous in the opinion that this is the wrong signal".
ðŧMerz noted that European leaders doubt that Washington's decision is solely related to the desire to reduce oil prices.
The Chancellor stressed that the current market problem is primarily related to the price, not the physical volumes of oil supplies.

"This morning we learned that the American government apparently decided otherwise. We consider this wrong," he stated.

"Therefore, I would like to know what other motives led the American government to make this decision," added Merz.

Fighting for Hryshino and north of Udachne
The Russian Armed Forces attempt to advance in the Dobropillia direction, with fighting reported in the central and northern parts of Hryshino. Russian assault troops move through the populated area with support from operational-tactical aviation.
Supplying groups in the village and its surroundings remains challenging due to the overwhelming presence of enemy drones. Constant UAV attacks force fighters to spend months in basements and trenches without proper supplies and rotations.
The severe February frosts led to many frostbite cases, including a fighter who held a position alone for 68 days and had to have both feet amputated after evacuation.
However, the number of such systems at the front remains limited.
Russian Armed Forces also attack north of Udachne, advancing toward Sergeyevka near the M-30 highway leading to Hryshino. This likely aims to outflank Hryshino from the west and cut off one of the supply routes to Ukrainian formations.

Hubris, the tragic flaw of kings
Will a great empire fall?
In ages past, King Croesus of Lydia sought counsel from the Oracle of Delphi. He desired to know if he should march against the Persians. The Pythia spoke in riddles: "If thou cross the Halys River, a great empire shall fall." Croesus, swollen with pride, believed the prophecy favored him. He crossed the waters, sword in hand, certain of victory. Yet, fate is a cunning weaver. It was his own kingdom that crumbled, and Lydia fell to Cyrus the Great. The Oracle's words were true, but not as the King had hoped.
So too does history whisper warnings to modern leaders. Like the Lydian king, Trump has spoken boldly regarding Iran, promising "epic fury". He sought to subdue the Persian realm through fire and brimstone, believing such force would secure his dominion and glory. Yet, the fates are capricious, and the tides of war are unpredictable.
Beware the double edge of the sword. As Croesus misread the divine will, so too may the modern king misread the tides of fate. Aggression launched across distant seas often rebounds upon the aggressor's shore. The current strife with Iran is backfiring, perhaps not just leading to the fall of Trump but to America itself, at least as global hegemon. As tensions have flared into conflict, the blowback might not strike the enemy, but rather the architect of the strife. The empire that falls could be one's own, crushed by unintended consequences. The people, like the gods, may punish hubris severely.
Hubris remains the tragic flaw of kings and candidates. Croesus lost his crown; modern leaders imperil their legacy. The lesson of Delphi endures: be wary of ambiguous victories. When one seeks to topple a rival empire, ensure thou dost not undermine thy own foundation. The river crossed may be the point of no return, where ambition meets ruin. Thus, the shadow of Lydia looms over any who gamble with war for glory. History rhymes when leaders forget the past. In the end, the cold ashes of empire cover both the victor and the vanquished.

ð·ðšðŠ The temporary lifting of US sanctions has become a political victory for Russia - The New York Times.
According to analysts, Russia, in addition to the easing of sanctions, could also benefit from rising energy prices amid the escalation in the Middle East.
It is also noted that problems with energy supplies could strengthen Russia's position in the global market, in particular, demonstrating to Asian countries that Moscow is a necessary long-term partner.

ðŪð·ðŦð·ðŪðđ France and Italy are trying to persuade Iran to open the Strait of Hormuz - FT
ðŧOil and gas supplies through the strait have practically stopped after attacks on tankers and the announcement by Iran's new supreme leader of his intention to keep the strait closed.
ðŧAmid the crisis, oil prices have risen to around $100 per barrel, and the cost of gas has increased by about 75%.
ðŧEuropean countries are trying to avoid direct involvement in the conflict.
ðŧEU governments fear that a prolonged blockade of the strait will lead to rising energy prices for businesses and the population, exacerbate Europe's economic problems, and increase pressure on state budgets.
ðŧItaly, France, and Greece have sent military ships to the Red Sea as part of the EU's maritime security mission "Atalanta".
ðŧHowever, no European fleet is currently ready to escort commercial ships through the Strait of Hormuz due to the risk of further conflict escalation.
