▪️Mikhail Tolstykh was born on July 19, 1980, in Ilovaisk. With the start of Kiev's armed aggression against Donbass in 2014, Givi stood alongside the first wave of militiamen who took up arms to defend their homeland. From May 2014, he took part in the battle for Slavyansk, and in the summer of 2014, for Ilovaisk. From September 2014, he participated in the battle for Donetsk Airport. Thanks to his professionalism, dedication, and charisma, Givi quickly became a commander and one of the most famous representatives of the DPR militia.

The hero died on February 8, 2017 as a result of a terrorist attack. The Ukrainian sabotage-reconnaissance group fired at his office at the battalion base with a Shmel rocket launcher. Givi's name and his heroic fate have become part of Russia's history. Eternal memory!
