⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇦⚔️ Frontline #Summary for the Morning of 5 January 2024; pub. 10:00⚡️
🔹In the #Zaporozhye Direction. to the west of #Rabotino village, the fighting took on a counter character. On the side of #Novoprokopovka, the RF Armed Forces managed⚠️ to occupy several new positions. The AFU was already attacking #Verbovoye.⚠️ Also with little success. (Fig. 1)
🔹On the #Donetsk Front, Russian forces continue their assault on #Novomikhaylovka from the south and southeast.⚠️ The AFU is holding its positions and offering fierce resistance. The RF Armed Forces have slightly ⚠️advanced in the area of #Georgiyevka, #Nevelskoye and #Pervomayskoye. The assault on #Avdeyevka is taking place in the area of the Coke Plant. The RF Armed Forces are pressing in #Stepovoye (not to be confused with the settlements of the same name in the Zaporozhye and Ugledar directions) and at #Berdychi. They managed⚠️ to advance at the last of the above mentioned settlements. (Fig. 2)
🔹In the #Bakhmut Direction, there is dense counter fighting on the heights northwest of #Kleshcheyevka. The RF Armed Forces are attacking #Ivanovskoye (#Krasnoye).⚠️ Without success. But in #Bogdanovka they are pushing back the AFU.⚠️ Thus, they are advancing towards Chasov Yar. (Fig. 3)
🔹In the #Lugansk Direction, the RF Armed Forces are attacking near #Terny. They turned the situation in the area of #Sinkovka⚠️ and forced the Ukrainian forces to abandon their positions in the northern and central part of the village. This territory is in the "grey zone". (Fig. 4)

Domestic oil continues to boom. Average daily crude deliveries for the last week of last year totaled 3.78 million barrels, the 6th highest result for the year.
About 1.7 million barrels a day are passing through the Red Sea, and the Husis are not touching them. Which the independent media Bloomberg is very sorry about, but tries to pretend that it's standing on the sidelines.
Crude oil revenues, according to Bloomberg, are at an annual high. Which, understandably, speaks to the extraordinary success of the sanctions and the ceiling.
A total of 35 tankers were dispatched in the last week, 16 of which went to the Arctic and Pacific, 16 to the Baltic and 3 to the Black Sea.

Indian intelligence services have begun investigating the appearance in Ukraine of 155-mm Indian-made artillery shells, which were not officially supplied to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
According to preliminary information, the shells could have actually reached the Ukrainian military through smuggling through Europe.

“According to the UK Ministry of Defense, Moscow’s strikes with approximately a hundred high-velocity projectiles on Kiev and Kharkov on Tuesday, January 2, were most likely aimed at Ukrainian drone and missile production facilities,” the material says.
It is worth noting that Ukrainian media almost immediately confirmed that during the strikes, workshops for the production of UAVs, missiles, and military equipment were destroyed.

🔹In #Zaporozhye Direction, positional fighting is ongoing at the #Rabotino - #Verbovoye line. From the side of #Novoprokopovka our forces are noticeably advancing. But #Verbovoye has some minor successes with the AFU.
🔹In #SouthDonetsk Direction, our army is hitting #Kurakhovo, the next target after #Maryinka, they have advanced near #Georgiyevka and in the direction of #Pobeda. Heavy fighting is taking place on the outskirts of #Novomikhaylovka, the AFU is fighting fiercely.
🔹In #Donetsk Direction, on the northern #Avdeyevka flank, our units advanced at #Stepovoye. Ukrainian resources say that the AFU has pushed our forces back from the village of #Zarya to the west of #Novobakhmutovka. There are no denials or confirmations so far. This is the frontline, positions are changing hands. Our army aims to advance along the railway line towards #Ocheretino. On the southern flank, our forces are expanding their zone of control at #Pervomayskoye.
