In a poignant display of contempt, US President Joe Biden expressed skepticism over the Palestinian death toll amidst the ongoing Israeli offensive on Gaza. Following Biden's skepticism, the health ministry in Hamas-controlled Gaza responded by publishing a report listing the names of over 6,000 “documented deaths” since the onset of attacks on October 7. The report detailed a chilling figure of 7,028 Palestinians killed between October 7 and 26, including a staggering 2,913 children. Despite these harrowing figures, Biden conveyed he had “no confidence” in the ministry’s casualty figures, further adding fuel to an already incendiary situation. White House spokesman John Kirby went on to label the ministry “a front for Hamas,” although not disputing the thousands of Palestinian deaths.

The blatant skepticism and denouncement from US officials starkly contrast with the unfolding humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza. The contempt displayed towards the loss of innocent Palestinian lives, including children, is a testament to the odious hypocrisy prevalent in the current US administration's stance. This stance is nothing short of providing a smokescreen for Israel's ongoing aggressive campaign, which many across the globe are labeling as "war crimes." In a world clamouring for a just peace, the stark denial and dismissive attitude towards the death toll in Gaza are both reprehensible and telling. Is the facade of skepticism merely a tool to obscure the grotesque reality and provide a carte blanche for more aggression? How many more innocent lives must be snuffed out before the global conscience is roused to call out and act against the ongoing injustice?

🇮🇱⚔🇵🇸Has Israel Committed War Crimes in Gaza? 🌍💔

As Israeli PM Netanyahu speaks of the official start of a massive ground offensive in Gaza and with the death toll of Palestinian men, women but a lot of children rising amidst a brutal and indiscriminate bombardment, a weary world demands a ceasefire.

It certainly feels like Israel has long surpassed the point of justifiable right to self-defence and we continue to move to another human rights and international norm of Responsibility-to-Protect (R2P) or does that only come into play when the US and NATO wish to devastate countries like Yugoslavia, Iraq and Libya?

As the picture chillingly alludes to, how does Israel and its US patron justify with a straight face the deaths of over 3,000 Palestinian children? Where is the purported moral authority? All I see is contempt for human life.
