Explosives (energetics) issue has been a bottleneck for some time, an article from March highlighted this issue.

Europe’s push to make arms for Ukraine has been hobbled by a shortage of explosives, which industry insiders fear will delay efforts to boost shell production by as much as three years.

Scarce supplies of gunpowder, plastic explosives and TNT have left industry unable to rapidly meet expected EU orders for Ukraine, regardless of how much money is thrown at the problem, according to officials and producers.

“The fundamental problem is that the European defence industry is not in good shape for large-scale war production,”

“It’s very difficult to increase production of artillery ammunition, especially the heavy, large-calibre ammunition, in a short time,” said Jiří Hynek. “A new artillery factory is very easy, but how to produce more artillery projectiles without raw materials?”

This will be very evident on the battlefield as EU countries have emptied their stockpiles.

As Putin passes laws to raise the size of the military and Russia's war machine has factories running triple shifts, Canada responds with its own military initiatives.

So what does a modern military man truly need?

Shells?
- No, who needs artillery shells in war.

Counter-battery radars?
- Wrong again my man.

Surely drones?
- Not even close

A modern fighting man needs menstrual pads and by God the Canadian military man will never be without!

As a man who enjoys reading WWI and WWII history books I've never ran into soliders noting this was an issue. Bad food, no food, poor quality boots, insufficient ammo, cold, heat...

But tampons? Who knew.

🇺🇦🤡 In Kiev, with battlefield "victories" only occurring in their minds - the unwell of mind demolished the monument to Nikolai Shchors, a Red Army commander during the Russian Civil War.

It is noteworthy that for some time in Ukraine they were arguing about what to do with the horse on which Shchors was sitting - due to the fact that the public liked the horse, they did not want to remove it from the square.

A little earlier, the monument was deprived of its protective status, and in the future the monument to the participant of the Ukrainian Red Guard rebel formations will be kept in the O. K. Antonova,
State Aviation Museum of Ukraine.

🔹In the #Kherson-#Crimea Direction, in #Krynki, the fighting took on a counterattack character. Even with the RF Armed Forces dominating due to the support of long range weapons.
💥 Ukrainian positions in #Kherson, #Tyaginka, #Nikolayevka and #Berislav are under attack.
💥 Russian positions, in Golaya Pristan, #Alyoshki, #Poyma and #Peschanovka.

🔹In the #Zaporozhye Direction, the AFU managed to stabilise the situation west of #Rabotino village through counterattacks.⚠️ The RF Armed Forces, in turn, are trying to pressurise from the direction of #Verbovoye and #Novofyodorovka.⚠️ The second section is particularly important, as the fighting is taking place along the strategic route N-08.
💥 The AFU is under fire in #Kamenskoye, #Novoandreyevka, #Novovodanilovka, #Charovnoye and #Malinovka.
