'I fear she's no longer alive': Woman missing 11 years surfaces in Epstein files

"We just want to find her – no matter what her situation," says Vlado. But the search for the truth takes a toll. It is bad enough when your own child goes missing. It is worse still when she may be entangled in what is arguably one of the largest cases of sexual exploitation ever.

DER SPIEGEL and the German public broadcaster ZDF spent several months investigating Michele's disappearance.

The trail led deep into Epstein's system, into a shadowy world where the modeling business bleeds into abuse.

To this day, there is no sign of life from Michele. But some of the people who interacted with her are now finding themselves in the public eye.
