This weekend — today! — we move to the Society track, and our broad theme is ensuring accountability of public institutions through transparency. Our presenters are people who have used technology to achieve this in different ways for different institutions, and they will talk about the challenges — and opportunities — of these endeavours.

We’re about to start. Come join us.
This weekend, we will discuss the thing that has affected all our lives, the Covid-19 pandemic, but from a different perspective. We will chat with two people who have, through the last two years, been invaluable resources for those of us who aren’t well versed with medical matters, infectious diseases and epidemiology, people who have interpreted the deluge of new information, making it accessible, understandable, useful, for us laypersons, about how they worked through it.

This Sunday, in the Design track, we look beyond what is usually considered the design domain, to content and audiences, and to a literal voice for brands.

Aditi is a professional voice-over artist based in Mumbai. A versatile voice with years of experience recording commercials, promos and taglines in English, and Hindi and Urdu, she can do a soft soothing promo just as easily as she can do a bubbly energetic one.

This Sunday, it’s the Intersections track, where we focus on people and things which cross domains.
Neha will talk about her practice as ceramist and kathak dancer (and recently, not-very-good-but-trying-to-get-better farmer) and how these overlap, intermingle, and grow together. And Gaurav will lead an open discussion about the kind of content that we in India consume and what makes it interesting; and whether the time, money and effort that goes into creating it is worth it.

Neha is a visual and performing artist living on a farm in rural Maharashtra. Neha is a co-founder of beej a performing arts collective in Mumbai, and a co-curator of the Indian Ceramics Triennale.

Friends,
Due to unforeseen circumstances, we’re rescheduling today’s TGP Sessions.
We’ll come back on 8th May with a Goa Spotlight, and then, on 22nd May, we have an in-person event — all fates permitting — in Bangalore, so those of you who are there or who plan to be, do mark the date in your calendars. More on on that in a bit.
See you on the 8th!
