Whilst I don't always agree with every post made by the channels above, we should always have an open mind to the ideas of others. We can learn from the experiences of others - use their ideas to aid our own - or reflect on the differences we have. That way we'll grow as a community.

Men, it’s time to be men again. Stop following the post-modern feminized version of how a male should be. We are males, this is true, but we are also men - rise up and act accordingly!

Today we spoke on the importance of Masculinity in the pagan sphere. This topic is one we could speak on for an entire podcast series let alone a single episode. We spoke on the masculine sphere, the effeminacy that has infiltrated parts of masculine paganism, the importance of the Masculine roles in the family, the balance between the feminine and the masculine and why a man must be masculine to allow his woman to be feminine and vice versa, we also spoke on stoicism, male god archetypes, and the attempt to effeminize pagan figures and Hyperborean men. Check it out and to all those out there in the Wastelands of Modernity, keep your powder dry. Our Guest Today is the Dread Pirate McThunder. https://anchor.fm/hyperborean-radio/episodes/Masculinity-e17cg24

A sixth century Lombardic cemetery contained a skeleton which experts determined belonged to a man who had a sword as a prosthetic arm. They found wear on his teeth from him adjusting the straps of his sword attachment. They also found callus and bone spurs on his stump which indicated how he used a sword to replace his arm. The warrior was believed to be aged between 40 and 50 and his right arm had been amputated around the mid-forearm, a process likely to have taken place through blunt force trauma.
Upcoming new video: Mjölnir, Þunor’s hammers. What’s their story? Where did he get them, and as English-speakers, what’s their name?

Very excited at prospect the new bracteate hoard from Jutland may contain an archaic Proto Norse runic inscription of Odin's earlier name "Wodinas". Another features his heiti "High" as in 'the High one', showing the antiquity of the epithet. Hail the High One!

Hilda Ellis Davidson argued the Germanic swastika was a symbol of Thor but now I don't think so. We have a few bracteates with possible depictions of Odin next to a swastika, and in this case a clearly labelled depiction of Odin. Anglo-Saxon pagans used the swastika in association with the grave indicating a link to the dead. I also recall the runic inscription ALU GOD with a swastika on a 3rd century silver fibula (DR EM85;123) from Værløse, Zealand, Denmark , which I suspected referred to Odin. The ALU runic charm also features on another bracteate DR BR42 with the same design as this new "High" find featuring a mounted man speaking to a bird and on another, G 205, of a mounted man with ALU next to him and a swastika below. Overall I think the swastika is a sign of the ALU GOD Wodinas
