“The lore of our people tells us that “In the earliest age, what is was not, there was no sand, nor sea, nor cool waves. The earth did not exist, nor the sky above. There was a mighty chasm, Ġeónungġéap, but grass grew nowhere” (TAE I.1, cp. LIII.34). To the north of Ġeónungġéap arose Neowolhám ‘The Home in the Deep,’ whence came the primordial ice; at the same time, in the south, in Sincdalu, came the heat that would melt the ice in the north to form a poisonous rime. This rime flowed into Ġeónungġéap and hardened, layer upon layer, while the powers of fire and ice grew in their respective regions. From this intermingling of primal elements, driven by a creative force or ‘Spirit,’ there arose three holy springs— there was Hwerġerár ‘The Roaring Cauldron’ in the north, whose ice-cold liquids became the source for all the waters of the worlds; then there was Wyrdeburne ‘Wyrd’s Spring’ in the south, which contains the life giving warmth; and there was Mimoresburne ‘Mimor’s Spring’ in the center, where Ġeónungġéap once stood, in which the creative wisdom that spawned these developments would be concentrated. These springs not only contain the three most important, and hence ‘divine’ elements of the creation—Ice, Fire, and Spirit—they are also the foremost symbols of our lore, which we see recurring throughout it.”

The Óryld

I. Ġeónungġéap

1. In the earliest age, what is was not, there was no sand, nor sea, nor cool waves. The earth did not exist, nor the sky above. There was a mighty chasm, Ġeónungġéap; but grass grew nowhere.

2. It was many ages before the earth was created that Neowolhám was made, and in its midst lies a spring called Hwerġerár, resting atop the Níðesfirgen. From there flow the rivers Swele, Gúþtrog, Fǽr, Fifelþyll, Slíðe, Hríþ, Swill, Ġewealc, Wíd, Líġet, and Ġielle. Ġielle lies next to Helle-Hlínduru and Líġet is so holy sacred oaths are sworn upon it. All of these rivers are known collectively as Íswǽġe. Hwerġerár flowed north of Ġeónungġéap, enveloping Neowolhám in mist and cold.

3. First, there was that world in the southern region which is called Sincdalu or Útġeard, in Hellhám. It is bright and hot. That area is flaming and burning and was impassable for those that were foreigners there and were not native to it. Also in Hellhám the fountain of warmth and strength giving liquids, called Wyrdeburne, is to be found. There was no sun to shine.

4. Between these two regions lies the spring of wisdom, Mimoresburne, where Ġeónungġéap once was. When the Íswǽġe rivers came so far from their source, the Cwicedropan hardened like a slag of cinders running from a furnace,
and became ice. When this ice began to solidify and no longer run, Cwicedropan spewed out and froze into icy rime. Then, layer by layer, the ice grew within Ġeónungġéap.

5. That part of Ġeónungġéap, which reached into the northern regions, became filled with thick ice and rime. Inside the gap there was mist and wind-whipped rain. But the southern part of Ġeónungġéap grew light because of sparks and glowing embers flowing from Hellhám. Sparks flew from the south-world: the fire gave life to the ice.

6. Just as coldness and all things grim came from Neowolhám, the regions close to Hellhám in the south were hot and bright, but Ġeónungġéap was as mild as a windless sky. Thence in each direction there arose a holy fountain which would bring life into the worlds.

The Original Age

I. Yawning Space

1. In the earliest age, what is was not, there was no sand, nor sea, nor cool waves. The earth did not exist, nor the sky above. There was a mighty chasm, Yawning Space; but grass grew nowhere.

2. It was many ages before the earth was created that the Deep Home was made, and in its midst lies a spring called the Roaring Cauldron, resting atop the Mountains of the Abyss. From there flow the rivers known as Burning Cold, Battle Trough, Rushing, the Great Rushing Sound, the Fearful, and the Snowstorm, Swill, the Swelling, the Wide, Lightening, and the Resounding. The Resounding river lies next to the Gates of Hell and the river Lightening is so holy sacred oaths are sworn upon it. All of these rivers are known collectively as the Ice Waves. The Roaring Cauldron flowed north of the Yawning Space, enveloping the Deep Home in mist and cold.

3. First, there was that world in the southern region which is called the Sunken Dales or Outer Yard, in Hell’s Home. It is bright and hot. That area is flaming and burning and was impassable for those that were foreigners there and were not native to it. Also in Hell’s Home, the fountain of warmth and strength giving liquids, called Wyrd’s Spring, is to be found. There was no sun to shine.

4. Between these two regions lies the well of wisdom, Mimor’s Spring, where the Yawning Space once was. When the Ice Wave rivers came so far from their source, the Life-Drops hardened like a slag of cinders running from a furnace, and became ice. When this ice began to solidify and no longer run, the Life-Drops spewed out and froze into icy rime. Then, layer by layer, the ice grew within the Yawning Space.

5. That part of the the Yawning Space, which reached into the northern regions, became filled with thick ice and rime. Inside the gap there was mist and wind-whipped rain. But the southern part of the Yawning Space grew light because of sparks and glowing embers flowing from Hell’s Home. Sparks flew from the south-world: the fire gave life to the ice.

6. Just as coldness and all things grim came from the Deep Home, the regions close to Hell’s Home in the south were hot and bright, but the Yawning Space was as mild as a windless sky. Thence in each direction there arose a holy fountain which would bring life into the worlds.

Avoiding Things That Effect The Connection To Your Hamingja

An essential element of the Asatru faith, and specifically forn sidr (ancient customs of our ancestors), is the connection of our bodies and souls to their ancestral Hamingja. This hamingja is a guardian spirit and part of one’s soul which is attached to a person through their familial line and connects each individual to their ancestors and provides luck in health, life and happiness. As asatruar, this connection is personal and it is our belief that everyone within our faith should develop the strongest connections to their Hamingja as possible. The development of this connection will lead to a healthier and happier life now and in the life hereafter. It is our belief that one should avoid things which hinder or block that connection to their hamingja. The connection one individual has to their hamingja may be different than another’s connection as this is a personal relationship between that individual and their hamingja. However, if one feels that something physical, spiritual, medical or temporal blocks or hinders this connection then it is our (PNWWP) official position as a religious organization that person should avoid at all costs that thing which inhibits their spiritual connection to their ancestral spirit and soul.
Furthermore, a sacred principle of our faith is the honoring of ones oath. If an individual has sworn an oath we are duty bound by spiritual laws to require that individual to keep their oath. So, if one for example feels that taking a substance inhibits their connection to their hamingja, and swears an oath to avoid that substance it is a mandatory religious and spiritual obligation for that practioner to keep said oath. Failure to do so can have severe spiritual and physical consequences for any individual that breaks an oath which they have sworn as told to us in our ancient customs and the spiritual laws of our ancestors.

Whilst I don't always agree with every post made by the channels above, we should always have an open mind to the ideas of others. We can learn from the experiences of others - use their ideas to aid our own - or reflect on the differences we have. That way we'll grow as a community.
Men, it’s time to be men again. Stop following the post-modern feminized version of how a male should be. We are males, this is true, but we are also men - rise up and act accordingly!

Today we spoke on the importance of Masculinity in the pagan sphere. This topic is one we could speak on for an entire podcast series let alone a single episode. We spoke on the masculine sphere, the effeminacy that has infiltrated parts of masculine paganism, the importance of the Masculine roles in the family, the balance between the feminine and the masculine and why a man must be masculine to allow his woman to be feminine and vice versa, we also spoke on stoicism, male god archetypes, and the attempt to effeminize pagan figures and Hyperborean men. Check it out and to all those out there in the Wastelands of Modernity, keep your powder dry. A sixth century Lombardic cemetery contained a skeleton which experts determined belonged to a man who had a sword as a prosthetic arm. They found wear on his teeth from him adjusting the straps of his sword attachment. They also found callus and bone spurs on his stump which indicated how he used a sword to replace his arm. The warrior was believed to be aged between 40 and 50 and his right arm had been amputated around the mid-forearm, a process likely to have taken place through blunt force trauma.
