For tonight’s Wynterfylleth Winter Nights blot, taken from our lore, I composed a bead/leedcwid, that is a prayer/poem, for Seaxnéat-Fréa, Ingwine & Lord of the Folcsidish Sedish folk. May y’all have a blessed Wynterfylleth Winter Nights Fréa’s blót.
Fréonblót Bedu - The Lord's Blot Prayer
Béo ġesund Seaxnéat, Ylfdryhten
Be well Seaxnéat Elf-Lord
Ingwina-Fréa
Lord of the Ingwinas
Ǽrest mid Éast-Denum
First of the East-Danes
Ond Heardinga hæle
And the hero to the brave
Ġyfa fryþ ond cwémednes
The bestower of peace and pleasure
Reġna feriend ond goda blótere
Bringer of the rains and priest of the gods
Beadufród god, sélest on Ésa ġeardum
Battle-wise god, the best in the Ese’s courts
Hé ne berénaþ mǽġdenu grǽtan ne ǽneġ wera wífe
Who causes no maidens to cry nor any man's wife
Ond lýseþ menn fram bendum
and frees folk from their bonds.
Mihtiġ Wanagod ond Folcsidisċa dryhten
Mighty god of the Wanas and Lord of the Folcsidisċ
Béo ġesund Seaxnéat-Fréa!

The moon wasn’t obscured by clouds the whole evening, but this was at the end, of what was a great Wynterfylleþ Wynternyht. My family sat around a fire, barbecued, & enjoyed great conversation before holding ritual. May your experiences have been memorable. Hāl Godu! Hāl Seaxnēat-Frēa!

Most of us probably think we’re doing pretty well, spiritually speaking. The typical follower of the Germanic Way has plenty of good qualities – intellectual curiosity, the boldness to take a different path, and, we can suppose, dedication to a tough code of conduct.
Sometimes, being human, we do not live up to the best within us. Our nobility slips, we take the easy way out, and those character defects within each of us become all too obvious. It’s at times like this we need to ask ourselves just how much we are a credit to our ancestors, and to the Holy Powers.

Folcsida, an Anglo-Saxon term for Anglo-Saxon Belief:
Folcsida = [The] Folk-Ways, or Religion, of the folk.
Folcsidisċ = one who follows the Folk-Ways, or religion, of one’s folk, i.e. (a) Believer(s) in the (Anglo-Saxon expression of) Germanic Heathen faith
“(I am) (We are) Folcsidisċ because (I) (we) practice Folcsida” (both sg. & pl.)
Folcsidom = the ‘Collective body of Folcsida’ or the ‘World of Folcsida’

Blood Ties
One of the oldest and perhaps one of the most important aspects of ethnic faith, ancestor veneration stretches back to antiquity and continues today.
The departed stay in our collective memory long after their passing and are traditionally believed to bestow blessings upon the land and kin they left behind.
Reverence to their memory is especially prominent if they impart great influence on the community and family.
By honoring those who came before us we also honor the countless romances, hardships, sacrifices and triumphs they had to endure to ensure that we be allowed the same chance.
Carrying on the family name carries great importance because it is not just YOUR name.
It is the name of every one that came before whose same blood pumps through your beating heart.
That is the connection.
The coupling between past, present and future.
It is easy to say one venerates their ancestors.
It is another thing to actually follow through.
It is genuine to venerate through living honorably.

Logadōm - Part 1
Most folk refer to those who follow Loki, in the sense of honoring & or worshipping, as Lokian. In Anglo-Saxon, his name is Loga, meaning liar & deceiver. Whereas, the name Loga isn’t attested in Anglo-Saxon sources, it’s an attested word that’s etymological connected to Loki, while simultaneously fitting his described nature within the recorded mythological accounts. To be a Lokian, we’d say one is Logisċ. The -isċ suffix denotes that something or someone is of this or that, for example, the English are the Engle-folk or childish denotes that one has the characteristics of a child. By extension, a Logisċ is practicing Logadóm, that is Lokianism, or the belief & practice of honoring Loga. The -dōm suffix speaks brings a collective sense & or speaks to the nature of, such as Kingdom, the realm of a King or widsom, the quality of having experience, knowledge, & good judgement.

Logadōm - Part 2
What is the true meaning of Logadóm, of being Logisċ? It’s not what we tend to think. Before we delve in this, what is it that we think of when the subject of the Logisċ comes up? Naturally, in today’s modern world & the toxicity of the internet, places like Facebook come to mind. We go into a Heathen group to discuss our faith & we get rabid, politically-driven zealots who speak of Loga as being a “necessary catalyst for change”, “as misunderstood”, “Wóden’s blood-brother, so we must accept him, or even worse, that “Wōden and Loga are similar. Wōden did bad stuff too, so…” nonsense. These types rarely actually study the lore, let alone read it. A religious belief system must be built upon the pillars of attested sources with a hierology acting as a bulwark against those who seek to change our religion to fit their political beliefs, as the natural & right thing is for a religion to change us.

Rites of Passage; Kóryos, Mannerbund, Agōgē and their Significance Today
Part 1
“It’s 1800 BC, in the middle of Winter. A group of adolescent boys had been brought here at the setting sun from their village with dogs they had raised for half of their lives. It was a most sacred site they had travelled to, and the ritual they would perform would result in the death of their childhood and the beginning of their journey to manhood.
At the appointed hour on a moonless night, lit only by starlight the boys were instructed to ritually sacrifice the dog. Upon doing so they were to eat the meat from the dog, and begin wearing the pelts of the animal. They would not be welcomed back into their community for a set period; they would have to learn to live in the wilds like the predators that stalked the plains and woodlands, or would perish and be forgotten.”

Logisċ filter their beliefs through the lens of modern political biases, UPG, & pop culture, like Marvel films & the Vikings TV show. Disney-Marvel spins things in a way that normalizes the inverse of the natural world: strong & protective Þunor becomes a pathetic weak joke, faint of heart, Loga is the lovable trickster who’s just “misunderstood”, Wōden’s weak & easily outsmarted, & the Wælcyrġe is insignificant & doesn’t resemble anything of a historical nature. The Vikings TV show distorts how our forebears lived & believed. They portray our folk as disloyal, degenerate oathbreakers & adulterers. Ragnar’s an untrustworthy drug addict & Floki honors the eotenas & “knows” the right path for his folk (the Loga-type). Loga’s ways are not of a lovable trickster, but of chaos & destruction. Via Disney-Marvel & The History Channel, our history is distorted, causing many to follow a path that’s an anathema to our forebears & gods. This isn’t Heathendom.

The above fiction was based on archeological studies conducted at Krasnosamarskoe (Volga Steppe) north of the Caucasus Mountains. The Volga river was called the “Rahā” (“Wetness,” but related to the Avestan “Ranhā,” which means “Mythical Stream”). This was the homeland of the Proto-Indo-Europeans, and thus should be considered special to all descendants of these great Steppe peoples. There in a secluded place (no nearby settlements of the time period) the remains of many dogs and a few wolves were found with tell-tale signs of butchery and consumption dating to between 1900-1700BC. This was believed to be part of the Srubnaya Culture, an ancestral & formative culture to the Aryan (Indo-Iranian) peoples.
