"Let us ponder the fact that he will judge us as we have judged our neighbor. If we pardon, he will pardon us; if we avenge our injuries, we will 'suffer vengeance from the Lord' (Sir. 28:1). His vengeance will pursue us in life and in death, and we will have no rest either in this world or the next."

"If we reserve all of the business of our salvation until the day of our death, it will be far too busy a day. Let us begin now to prepare for the graces that we will need then, and, by pardoning those who hurt us, let us assure ourselves of the eternal mercy of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen."

"It is an error, or rather a heresy, to endeavor to banish a devout life from the camps of soldiers, the shops of tradesmen, the courts of princes, or the affairs of married people... Wheresoever we are, we may and ought to aspire to a perfect life."

"Without the light of God’s revelation, we can become blind to even the most common sense issues of morality. Thank you, Lord, for your Law, which keeps us from descending to the level of brutes and animals, which teaches us to live with dignity appropriate to rational and spiritual beings, to children of God."

"Today the ugliest danger is gender ideology, which cancels out differences. I asked for studies to be done on this ugly ideology of our time, which erases differences and makes everything the same; erasing difference is erasing humanity. Man and woman, however, exist in a fruitful tension."

"It's not about who's 'based' and who's 'blue-pilled', it's about who is in communion with Rome. Do you believe that Peter is the vicar of Christ or do you not? That's what matters."

"Brothers, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved. For I bear them witness that they [the Jews] have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. For, being ignorant of the righteousness of God, and seeking to establish their own, they did not submit to God’s righteousness. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes."

"God showed me how to have faith in him for ever, as one who is never to be doubted. He answered my prayer in such a way that in the last days, ignorant though I am, I might be bold enough to take up so holy and so wonderful a task, and imitate in some degree those whom the Lord had so long ago foretold as heralds of his Gospel, bearing witness to all nations."

Beware the sin of superstition:
"To attribute the efficacy of prayers or of sacramental signs to their mere external performance, apart from the interior dispositions that they demand, is to fall into superstition."

The role of sacramentals in the Church:
"Sacramentals do not confer the grace of the Holy Spirit in the way that the sacraments do, but by the Church’s prayer, they prepare us to receive grace and dispose us to cooperate with it."

The Scapular of Our Lady of Mount Carmel (Brown Scapular) devotion is one that I have held in high regard since I was enrolled. The Scapular acts as a constant reminder of the intercession of Mary and the necessity of prayer, it is hard to forget God when Our Lady's Scapular points us unrelentingly to Christ. In the times of temptation it acts as a physical reminder of the efficacy of prayer, and in the regrettable case of grave sin, so long as it remains on your person, it points you towards the contrition and the Sacrament of Penance. I strongly encourage you to prayerfully consider enrolling, taking into account your current devotionals (it is best to keep a few devotionals steadily rather than heaping up different ones, a devotional item that doesn't lead to true devotion will do you no good).

"O holy Apostle Paul of Tarsus, from your glorious place in heaven, look down upon the race you loved so well. True it is that many of them remained deaf to your ringing words of truth, and that some of them even stirred up persecution against you and your fellow believers, but you were so devoted to your people that you willed to become a castaway for the sake of their conversion. Now that you are glorious in heaven, obtain for your brethren the grace of repentance and conversion, so that they may finally take their rightful place in the great family of the Catholic Church. AMEN."

"What, then, are we asking when we say, Hallowed be thy name? We beg that God’s name be held holy among people who until now have not regarded him as holy by reason of their unbelief, though of himself and in himself, and in his saints, he is always holy... In him may they find their joy, as straightforward men and women in their straightforward Lord; for how good God is to Israel! But only to those of straightforward hearts."

"Are we that much different from Our Lord’s tormentors? Often, don’t we deny that He is king, refusing to obey His only commands that we love Him and one another? Don’t we render Him mock tribute, pay Him lip service with our half-hearted devotions? ... And despite our repeated failures, our frailty, Jesus still humbles Himself to come to us, offering us His Body and Blood in the Eucharist."
