The Scapular of Our Lady of Mount Carmel (Brown Scapular) devotion is one that I have held in high regard since I was enrolled. The Scapular acts as a constant reminder of the intercession of Mary and the necessity of prayer, it is hard to forget God when Our Lady's Scapular points us unrelentingly to Christ. In the times of temptation it acts as a physical reminder of the efficacy of prayer, and in the regrettable case of grave sin, so long as it remains on your person, it points you towards the contrition and the Sacrament of Penance. I strongly encourage you to prayerfully consider enrolling, taking into account your current devotionals (it is best to keep a few devotionals steadily rather than heaping up different ones, a devotional item that doesn't lead to true devotion will do you no good).
