Much has been said about the similarities between these two images. Both of these figures are surrounded by wild animals, sitting in similar postures, appear to be wearing horns, and are even wearing similar garments. The figure on the Harappan Seal has been given the title Pashupati, which means the “Lord of Wild Animals” in Sanskrit. “The present paper focuses on Julius Evola’s representation of Japan and Zen Buddhism, a representation that is strongly connected to his racial theorizations as well as his religious and spiritual views. A multifaceted figure of the Italian far right, Evola often wrote about Asian cultures and religions, producing several works strongly marked by his political ideas. I will try to show how Evola’s racism and esotericism lie at the core of his views about Japan and Zen, first by contextualizing his early discourse on Japan within the political context of Italian fascism, and then by clarifying how his initial interest in themes like Zen, Samurais and Japanese Empire fit within a greater programme of fascist propaganda aimed at legitimizing Japan as fascist Italy’s ally – a task which will require a careful consideration of Italian racial laws. With 98 in-text citations placed in this new, upcoming essay so far, I'm now moving away from young "Heini" to Heinrich Himmler, the new, rejoining member of the NSDAP in 1925, who would find his way into a leadership role within the SS, eventually taking it over.

I will divulge SS activities leading up to, and after, Hitler's rise to power, follow it up with his activities with his archeological group, the Ahnenerbe, and delve into the reality of "General Plan Ost."

Around the latter sections, I'm pinpointing that which proves his affinity with the East, which I trace (using sources that managed to find proof of this before me) as far back as his years as a teenager, at age nineteen. In certain respects, his incredibly nuanced focus on the East both helped him and hurt him; it helped his drive for archaeological pursuits but hurt him when it came to his unnecessary vilifying of others who, frankly, did not necessarily need to be within Himmler's crosshairs. I differentiate those who arguably deserved his wrath and those who did not.

The sources thus far have included works from David Irving, Christopher Hale, and some others, including but not limited to the use of Himmler's real diaries, letters, and papers, as well as past interviews with his family members and associates — and statements of those who spoke of the man without realizing they were recorded by microphones.

I wish to not spoil much of the details, but I wanted to give an update nonetheless.

So far I have 150 in-text citations planned with only 98 included at this stage of the draft. I don't expect the limit to be 150 by the time this is over.

I refuse to write a single claim without using a reputable source to back it up.
