I humbly ask for prayers today for my family as my grandfather has been called to Christ this morning. Pray for us and that his soul is in paradise with Christ our Lord on this day.

Some good points here, some bad. But he's right that you need to spend some of your time without stimulation. If you can't simply sit and relax, something has gone wrong.
American conservatives using the royal "we" is pretty hilarious.
Can the online right resist the urge to throw the widow of their newfound hero under the bus for saying something Christ-like? Tune in tomorrow to out tomorrow.

(I hope they can.)
I'm interested in studying the Articles of Confederation period and, especially, the transition from them to the constitutional republic. Anybody have any good book recommendations?

Albert Beveridge’s Life of John Marshall is pretty much the only text I've read that covers it extensively.

W. J. Sidis' The Tribes and the States is on my reading list for this topic, currently alone and awaiting friends.

Anger consumes us from the inside if we let it. St. Joseph the Hesychast said anger is like a snake in the belly, and we need to clamp our mouth shut to starve it of air and kill it. Anger, the incensive faculty of the soul, was given to us to get rid of anything that keeps us from God. Anger should be turned against our sin, not other creatures of God.

Everything about that “memorial” was weird and fake except for all of the earnest Americans who attended or watched online.

Sadly this is yet another example of how sentimentality is repeatedly weaponized against decent people to gain enough of their trust to betray them over and over again.

That was supposed to be a funeral for a 31 year old father who was graphically executed in front of 3,000 college students

And what you watched was each cabinet member of the Trump government walk out to pyrotechnics and talk about politics/audition for 2028.

It is also true that “Charlie would have wanted it that way,” but it doesn’t make it less distasteful. Some things, like death, should be sacred. This entire spectacle seemed like a calculated play, basically a cynical excuse to put on an RNC.
Every Poor Camp member receives one of these as a gift when they arrive at the facility.
Our Canadian heritage is conservative and counter-revolutionary. Our ancestors were brave folk against the American & French revolutions.

Your punishment for no punctuation would be very different from the woman's. For her to have no punctuation was mere misbehavior, tradition, she didn't know any better. But for you to have none was 'terrorism.'
I regret to inform you that the problem with “Christian nationalism” is that it’s too progressive.

I’m so tired of hearing people trying to make a serious point in which the words “rape” or “kill” are suddenly, jarringly replaced with “grape” and “unalive”, respectively.

I understand they are trying to avoid being punished by some algorithm—but who is responsible for making an algorithm that forces people to speak like retards? Why haven’t they been flogged?
