"I came to a point where I needed solitude and just stop the machine of thinking and enjoying what they call living, I just wanted to lie in the grass and look at the clouds."

- Jack Kerouac

Be the one in your family to break your generational health curses

Trust me

It’s possible.

“X Health problem runs in my family”

If you never take care of your health

Then that might be your destiny

But with an ancestral way of eating, sunlight and exercise

A long, healthy and fruitful life awaits you

I wondered if that was how forgiveness budded, not with the fanfare of epiphany, but with pain gathering its things, packing up, and slipping away unannounced in the middle of the night.

“For last year's words belong to last year's language. And next year's words await another voice. And to make an end is to make a beginning."

― T.S. Eliot

If you're reading this, I wish you and your dear ones a beautiful end, and a more beautiful beginning!

The most powerful brain changes happen when we focus, have an internal sense of urgency and get enough sleep to allow changes to brain structure to happen.

Petty conflicts are self-reinforcing.

The more you’re bothered by something, the more you notice it and soon enough all your energy is drained.

The best way out of this loop is to get absorbed into a project ambitious enough to render all such petty conflicts insignificant.

Big hug to all the multi-passionate people out there who feel so much for so many things but struggle to find their place in this world.

You have so much to give. You will find your way. You will find many, many ways. Stay the course. 🙆🏻‍♀️

Proposal: From 6pm to 10pm, all TV channels go in "lockdown" All they're allowed to show are home exercise programs and nutrition guides (telling people the negatives of vegetable oil, etc.) This will save countless lives and there's no reason not to do it.

Both abundance and scarcity of information creates a similar lack of knowledge.

"The longer you're a teacher, the less you remember what it is like to be a student.

The longer you're a doctor, the less you remember what it is like to be a patient.

The longer you're a coach, the less you remember what it is like to be a player.

Change positions. A new perspective can improve your old methods."

There’s a date when you were born, and there’s gonna be a date when you die.

Hustle or No Hustle or anything else — you decide what you want your life to be like before the end date arrives. Every other argument for either is just bs.

Why working with an individual, or working with small firms, is better than working with big firms:

"Deal with the smallest firms possible.

For example, when I hire a lawyer or a banker or even an accountant to work on my deals, I’ve become very cognizant about the size of the firm.

Bigger firms—all other things being equal—are generally worse than small ones.

Very often the principal will sell you and convince you to work with the firm, but then all the work will be done by an agent who simply doesn’t care as much.

You end up getting substandard service.

I prefer to work with boutiques.

My ideal law firm is a law firm of one.

My ideal banker is a solo banker.

Now, you’re making other sacrifices and trade-offs in terms of that person’s resources—and you are betting big on that person.

But you’ve got one throat to choke.

There’s no one else to point fingers at; there’s nowhere to run.

The accountability is extremely high."

Love is always a prequel to grief. Kindness is a decision not an instinct. Learn this from muscles: soreness is a symptom of strengthening.

“People generally have more control over their actions than their feelings. But we can influence our feelings by taking action. Take one small step. Move the body first and the mind will follow.”

“There are some things you can’t understand yet. Your life will be a great and continuous unfolding. It’s good you’ve worked hard to resolve childhood issues while in your twenties, but understand that what you resolve will need to be resolved again. And again. You will come to know things that can only be known with the wisdom of age and the grace of years. Most of those things will have to do with forgiveness.”

Surely education has no meaning unless it helps you understand the vast experience of life with all its subtleties, with its extraordinary beauty, its sorrows and joys. You may earn degrees, you may have a series of letters after your name and land a good job, but then what? What is the point of it all if in the process your mind becomes dull, weary, stupid?
