N.E.S.A FEES (for 2021/2022).

N.E.S.A stands for N.S.W EDUCATION STANDARDS AUTHORITY.
It is they who brought N.AP.L.A.N upon our children.
Otherwise they are a registering body (as A.H.P.R.A are for doctors).

N.S.W. teachers are (STILL) being hounded by N.E.S.A for 'outstanding fees'
for the period of time you (we all) were locked out of schools
(November 8th 2021 - beginning of Term 3 2022)?

Mark Latham will be questioning the Minister of Education (Sarah Mitchell)
on NESA fees for teachers who took a 'Leave of Absence' for (approx') 6 months.

N.E.S.A says fee waivers are only permissible to those who put their leave in with NESA prior to January 27th 2022,
took leave before May 1st and ended their leave after Oct 1st!

YET, from January 2022-August 2022, teachers were unable to teach!

Most would have taken leave for 6 months (or more), which is the minimum amount of time for a fee waiver!

How many of you were denied leave?

Our argument is:
• we met the minimum period of time, we were forced out of the profession.
• 6 months is 6 months, it shouldn't matter if it began at the beginning of the year or the middle of the year.
• If our accreditation was on hold (because we weren't allowed to teach) why should we be liable to pay for something we didn't need?
• upon multiple request, the D.O.E/N.E.S.A failed to confirm our employment status.

Outline key dates of when leave was approved and when it was ended.

Keep it clear and concise.

Perhaps add to it how tough financially it is to cover after the financial distress the DET has forced upon you.

Ohio parents file lawsuit alleging ‘activist teachers’ having sexually ‘intimate conversations’ with students

A group of parents filed a lawsuit against the Hilliard school district in Ohio alleging that teachers are engaging in "intimate conversations about sexual behaviors" with students without parental consent.

The lawsuit, filed earlier this week with the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, refers to teachers as "activists" and claims that they are taking steps to hide their conversations with children as young as six-years-old.

The eight parents are asking for an injunction to end conversations between teachers and employees who are not trained on the topic, and said the current climate is a "recipe for indoctrination and child abuse."

School Superintendent David Stewart released a statement on Wednesday addressing several facets of the lawsuit and condemned some of the conduct by teachers in the district.

The parents listed in the lawsuit took issue with the use of "surveys" with students, with questions asking students what pronouns they prefer teachers use in class and what pronouns students want used in communication between the school and parents.

"While this was not a practice of the district’s or even a majority of our teachers, when this issue was brought to my attention, I made clear to our administration that Hilliard City Schools does not support surveying students on this topic or in this context of getting to know new students," Stewart said. 

He also said he has since followed up with teachers and administrators who are now aware of the guidance on this issue. Stewart also noted that while not best practice, it is not illegal. 

Stewart also commented on the lawsuit’s criticism of the "I’m Here" badges worn by teachers. The badges were meant to show support for students in the LGBTQ community and were handed out by the Hilliard Education Association, a teacher’s union.

I was asked to put together a short video on how to go about researching global plans as they come into our towns and local council areas. There are many ways to research, and this is the way I do it. Sharing in the hope it is of assistance.
I believe we have to keep an eye on what is coming in to our towns and we have to try to stop it- slow it down as it descends. So we have to get to know what it looks like, the language used, and what it really means.
