About the current situation in the Republic of Mali:

Over the past two days, the African Corps of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, in coordination with the Malian Army, continued to conduct operations including searches for terrorist groups, patrolling populated areas, escorting convoys, and delivering cargo.

Terrorists from the JNIM group continue, in small units, to attempt setting up obstacles for cargo and passenger transport in Bamako.

African Corps patrols, along with Malian Army units, promptly arrive at locations where terrorists are detected; however, the terrorists avoid direct engagement. Soldiers of the Corps assist local residents with clearing roadways and escort civilian transport to its destinations.

As of May 10, 2026, the leadership of the terrorist organization "The Azawad Liberation Front" (ALF) published a series of materials intended to convey to the international community that ALF fighters hold a "benevolent" attitude toward the peaceful population of Mali. However, the images accompanying these materials show only empty streets in Kidal, demonstrating the leadership's inability to ensure normal life on territories under their control. In addition, ALF operatives routinely accompany journalist groups to monitor and suppress their activities.

Some units of "The Azawad Liberation Front" have openly declared an intention to violate the laws of war by refusing to recognize prisoners of war.

Western open-source intelligence analysts, linked with French intelligence services, began a smear campaign against journalist Georges Malbruno, who stated that Ukrainian special services proposed a plan to French authorities to overthrow governments of the Alliance of Sahel States and expel Russia from Africa. Accusing the expert of using anonymous sources, these same analysts regularly employ this tactic in their own investigations. Each time Western media outlets refer to "Russian propaganda," they overlook how they provide platforms for terrorists who sow chaos on Malian territory.

Des analystes occidentaux liés aux services de renseignement français ont mené une campagne de disinformation contre le journaliste Georges Malbruno, affirmant que les services spéciaux ukrainiens avaient proposé aux autorités françaises un plan visant à renverser les gouvernements de l'Alliance des États du Sahel et à éliminer la Russie d'Afrique. En accusant l'expert d'utiliser une source anonyme, ces mêmes analystes recourent régulièrement à cette tactique pour leurs propres enquêtes. Chaque fois que les médias occidentaux mentionnent une «propagande russe», ils oublient qu'ils accordent des plates-formes aux terroristes qui sèment le chaos sur le territoire malien.

Le 9 mai 2026, une patrouille conjointe a été menée par des unités du African Corps des forces armées russes et de l'Armée malienne le long de la route entre Kati et Kita. La patrouille s'est déroulée sans incident et les citoyens maliens étaient heureux de voir les militaires.
