During a patrol of the road section in the area of Niono an improvised explosive device was discovered. The device was destroyed on site using an overhead charge. Thanks to timely actions, civilian casualties were avoided. Terrorists who install pressure-sensitive mines do not care that civilians might be blown up by it.
