Join me for a Sunday stagger through the stories with some weekend wit and weirdness

(Although I'm a bit jaded after a big old bender at my mate's wedding last night...)
Whatever one thinks of the AfD, (and largely, I would venture, as most AfD voters have doubtless done, that judgment is more informative when taken aside from those amongst the AfD that have made sordid remarks or espouse extreme approaches as it remains my sincere belief their number is likely few), the reasons voters are turning to them, and similar parties, in droves is because they are desperately fed up with open borders and the ever looming scourge of radical Islam. Note the word radical here

To try to minimise their popularity through demonisation - and again, looking at their manifesto, which is surely where one should start on formulating a political label - "Far Right" seems a prejudicial misnomer rather than objective assessment of their actual policy programme, only serves to perpetuate a denial about what is actually happening across all of Europe.

The swathes of immigration from vastly different cultures the likes of which has never before been seen in recent history, the importation of radical ideologies (that ironically could accurately invite the categorisation of being "far right" in their doctrinal absolutism) have created a visceral sense of panic, borne out by terrorist attacks and real time observation of rapidly changing customs and communities - that people are demanding be addressed by those in charge.

What to me is so absurd is how the legacy parties continue to absolutely refuse to address these issues, in many respects, they continue to feed them, and instead resort to demonising anyone that indeed tries to, and then stare at their own crumbling popularity with their own sense of moral panic, yet directed against the very people they were elected to serve.

The AfD and all other populist parties in Europe could be wiped out overnight, if the legacy parties stopped refusing to heed the plight of their own people.

Not a single person seems to be able to explain this wilful cowardice in the face of what is an evident clarion call for real political change. Why - and how- should a population feel inherently comfortable with what they may perceive to be social vandalism? And why do their leaders berate them or gaslight when they cannot block such concerns from their minds?

Either the masses are mistaken.

Or their leaders are.
It's telling that we all know the name of a convicted felon who died in America while under arrest 4 years ago...but would struggle to name the guy who tried to shoot an ex and would-be President in the head 4 weeks ago

Some stories are forced upon us

Yet ANOTHER church fire in France

What is going on?
Germany. Once Merkel's country of "Refugees Welcome"

The heart of the EU project

Now telling the EU it can shove Schengen where it shineth not

The Deputy Head of the Federal Police:

'The crisis in Germany's security is a direct consequence of Schengen's ineffective policies. Schengen's inability to manage migration effectively has put Germany's safety at stake.'

The Social Democrat Party has notified the EU it will bring back all land border controls

This is big news.
The EU open borders experiment is increasingly being rejected

Europe is waking up!

You won't get this news on mainstream media - who have demonised critics of open borders for years now 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻
The £22bn blackhole

That massive gaping chasm of debt Starmer is using to justify already pillaging the national coffers

It's not "fictional" - But Labour did invent it

They invented it with handouts to the Unions and a massive splurge on decriminalising illegal migration ('processing' they might say)

And now they're trying to cover it up

Life is like a woman with PMT

That's the only conclusion I can draw

It can be like negotiating with a doomster for what feels like an eternity, albeit just a week, and then, kapow! The fog is lifted, and you get a zone of plain sailing
The women of Afghanistan.

Once upon a time, we cared.

Then we left them to be dehumanised and destroyed

There are no marches about them. No noisy protests, placards, or flags.

No. The self-righteous people of Britain instead march in protests tacitly supportive of an organisation with much in common with the Taliban - Hamas.

It is terrifying how warped the whole thing is. How the West has given up knowing how to, or even wanting to, tackle Islamism

Instead, we could soon be charged with hate crime if we speak out against this monstrosity.

Can they not see that it's the first step towards the horror and madness happening in Kabul? It may seem a long way off, but that should not make anybody apathetic.

No ideology should have special protection against critique. Especially when it has bombed arenas and flown planes into towers. That's not to say we are all too knuckleheaded to discern decency from extremism. But this apparent assumption that we are gives the whip hand to the radicals.

Why can't they see that by eroding Christianity with rainbow rights and mocking it at the Olympics, the casual application of loose interpretation to thinly disguised antisemitic rhetoric, the blind eye turned to forced conversion of Hindu children at school and intercommunity intimidation within some of our towns (it must only be the Hindutva's fault), failing to stand up to mobs who commit arson on politician's offices, force teachers into hiding, even brandish weapons, and throwing protections around a culture of covering women up while being cowardly and weak in the face of child grooming gangs; and instead trying to not only sweep it all under the carpet and wish it all away, but silence any conversation about it - that we are blindly walking in one direction, and one direction alone?

That things aren't magically getting better, nor will they with this approach.

Fewer are naturally integrating and adopting our ways, as we ourselves abandon them.

Reading the below should be a wake-up call of how quickly toxicity can win the day

Middle classes on Southport and Rape Gangs:

My reality is different from their reality.

I am above them. Therefore my reality is THE reality.

And I will not say or do anything to jeopardise the comfort I enjoy.
