This was back in September of 2021.

I was participating in the Public Logic and Accuracy Test at Williamson County Elections Department and received permission from Brandon Jenkins, Voting Systems analyst, to record some of the test to share with my civics clubs.

Christopher Davis, Wilco Elections Administrator, shows and yells my name across the testing center and tells me to get out in the hall way NOW.

I turned my camera on.

Yes, this is running our Elections.

PRIMARY ELECTION 2022 - Election Day is Tuesday, March 1st
*early voting has begun (Feb 14-Feb 25)*

WHAT IS A PRIMARY ELECTION?
“The election before the election.”
Primaries are elections that political parties (Republican/Democrat) use to select their party’s candidates for the impending general election (November 8, 2022). In Texas, your voter registration is not tied to a particular political party so when you vote in a primary election, you are given the choice to vote on the Republican or Democrat Primary Ballot. The ballots for the 2 parties will be very different, but you can view both sample ballots ahead of time when you visit your county elections website (see Sample Ballot below).

VOTER PREPARATION

Sample Ballot - This is a preview of the exact ballot you will vote on in an election. It can be found on your county’s elections website several weeks before an election.

Williamson County Sample Ballot - https://apps.wilco.org/elections/default.aspx
Travis County Sample Ballot - https://countyclerk.traviscountytx.gov/departments/elections/current-election/

1.Search for your name and birthday
2.PRINT & make notes so you are prepared to vote.
3.Take sample ballot when you vote.

***NOTE: “Some ballots contain Propositions”. On a Primary Ballot propositions are opinions polls and not a policy referendum. You are not voting to make a law but merely saying YES you agree or NO you do not agree with the statement

From Mike Sanders in Williamson County Tx:

DIRTY POLITICS
One of the races being voted on in Williamson County is between Will Ward and Sarah Bruchmiller. Ms Bruchmiller has chosen to take the low road in this race. She sent out deceptive mailers to voters, seeking to portray Will Ward as unqualified to serve as District Judge. Let's shine a little light on the claims in this deceptive flyer.

Neither of the two candidates has ever before served as a District Judge. Mr Ward currently works for the Williamson County District Attorney where in the past few years he has prepared and presented thousands of felony cases to Williamson County District Court Grand Juries for prosecution. Ms Bruchmiller currently works as a Magistrate Judge, a position that does not handle jury trials.

Will Ward is board certified in Criminal Law and has worked as a Felony Prosecutor on 23 jury trials. Ms Bruchmiller failed the board certification exam and is not board certified in any area of specialty.

Ms Bruchmiller paid over $10,000 to become a member of the Texas Bar Foundation. That is not an achievement but rather something that is purchased with money.

Honesty is a virtue. Deceit is a vice.
Okay, this is important race here in Williamson County.

WARD VS. BRUCSHMELLER

I still think either candidate would be a great choice for Williamson County for this Felony court, and we are fortunate to have outstanding candidates to choose from, but this mailer does not adequately showcase Mr. Ward's experience.

Here is a response received from the Ward Campaign that helps understand the seat these two candidates are running for:

"As a current Assistant District Attorney and running for a District Judge seat, Will would not be able to comment on any ongoing cases. His job is and will be as a district judge to uphold the law which starts with our United States Constitution. The description of the district courts in our county can be found online on our county website. The 3 felony courts are the 26th, 277th, and 368th.

I do hope that as you educate yourself on the candidates, you do your research on their claims. Texas uses the term “judge” for many different positions, which can be very misleading. Sarah’s job as an associate judge is a magistrate position. She does not determine guilt or innocence in a criminal case. No jury. https://www.wilco.org/Magistrate

Will Ward is Board Certified. Sarah is not. She did take the exam, but did not pass. To be fair, the test is extremely difficult. It’s supposed to be. Out of over 76,000 attorneys in Texas, less than 800 are board certified. Our chief felony prosecutors for those 3 district courts I mentioned are all board certified. They deserve to be arguing cases to a board certified judge as well.

I would further like to ask you to pay attention to key words like “handling” cases vs. “trying” cases. Arguing a case to a jury means something very different than handling the paperwork.

I would also implore you to look at the fellowship in the Texas Bar Foundation. She calls it “an elite group” she is a member of. She claims it was “earned” and “awarded” to her. The price tag that isn’t mentioned is about $15,000.00 for this membership. It’s not awarded at all; it’s paid for. Will is not a member because he has no desire to be in an elite club. He is a true constitutional and fiscally responsible conservative. Those words actually mean something to him.

Will Ward fought for our rights and freedoms in combat and earned 2 bronze stars and a combat action ribbon. Earning a bronze star is a difficult feat. Earning 2 bronze stars while still living is quite astonishing. He will make an excellent judge.

Will Ward has been endorsed by all 3 chief felony prosecutors, the lead victims assistant, defense attorneys, Central TX Republicans, Taylor Police Assoc., Cedar Park Police Assoc., Round Rock Police Assoc., Sgt Miller, Sgt Rowe, Detective Boatright, and many more because these are the people that use this felony court. These are the people that have worked with Sarah and Will for 5 years and know the work ethic of both of them.

A well-informed and educated voter is the best voter.
Texas Scorecard's Brandon Waltens has a quick review of the 10 ballot propositions on the Republican Party of Texas primary ballots. Voters are asked to vote “Yes” to agree with each proposition, or “No” to disagree. Check them out before you head to the polls!

Advocacy - "public support for or recommendation of a particular cause or policy."

Good word. I like it.

Cynthia Long - County Commissioner, Pct. Two Williamson County, TX doesn't seem to understand the meaning of that word though, and neither does the Home Builders Association of Greater Austin. See the screen shot of an "Advocacy Forum" they'll be having on February 23rd about roads.

https://web.hbaaustin.com/events/AdvocacyForum%20Lets%20Talk%20About%20Roads-543/details

And check out the panel. Ed Horne, developer of Santa Rita Ranch. Nick McIntyre of Perry Homes. Did I mention that Ed Horne is a big contributor to the Commissioners campaign? Also noteworthy are large land developers and engineers.

(Not to mention the voting location located at the Santa Rita Ranch clubhouse...the only location that doesn't allow campaign signs. Go figure, don't let others put signs out that go against your friend at the Commissioners Court).

These are screenshots from the Commissioners finance campaign report, which is public knowledge at https://www.wilco.org/Departments/Elections/Additional-Information/Campaign-Finance

》》》Maybe instead of an "Advocacy Forum" it should be called the "Scratch My Back and I'll Scratch Yours" forum. 《《《

These people want to run a highway through our countryside that fear ends into Burnet County. I'm sick of this elitist crap. Enough. VOTE HER OUT.
