Hacking an account can go 2 main way, either social engineering or 0 day. Social engineering is tricking the person either to install a malware or making him give you the account by impersonating someone else, and then the second one 0day which is rare but happens where they take a specific undiscover bug to get access to the main social media database then get your details.
