The name "Kampahareswar" translates to "the God who removes fear," reflecting the deity's role in alleviating the fears of devotees. The temple complex includes a sanctum sanctorum, various halls, and a sprawling courtyard, all adorned with detailed stone work depicting religious scenes and deities. The principal deity, Shree Kampahareswarar, is worshipped in the form of a lingam, a representation of Shiva. An important feature of the temple is its stunning Gopuram (gateway tower), which is elaborately decorated and serves as a grand entrance.

Karpaga Vinayagar Temple, Pillayarpatti in Tiruppathur Taluk Sivaganga district, Tamil Nadu, BHARAT (India) 

It's an ancient rock-cut cave shrine dedicated to Sri Ganesh.

In the cave temple, there are rock cut images of Siva and other gods as well as several shrines. The Āgama texts found on stone inscriptions in the temple help to date the temple between the years 1091 and 1238 B.C.

illaiyarpatti Karpaga Vinayagar temple was built by early Pandyas. Karpaga Vinayagar is carved out in a cave of Pillaiyarpatti Hillocks. Thiruveesar (Shiva) is also carved in the rock of this cave. There are 14 stone Sculptures in the cave (dated from 400 to 1038 AD). These stone sculptures state the ancient names of Pillaiyarpatti such as Ekkattoor, Thiruveenkaikkudi, Maruthangudi, and Rajanarayanapuram.

It's oldest Hindu temple in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Founded in 1873, it is situated at the edge of Chinatown in Jalan Bandar (formerly High Street). In 1968, a new structure was built, featuring the ornate 'Raja Gopuram' tower in the style of South Indian temples.

From its inception, the temple provided an important place of worship for early Indian immigrants and is now an important cultural and national heritage.

Built in the South Indian style, the temple's most outstanding feature is the impressive 5-tiered gopuram (tower). It is the tallest structure in the temple. The dramatic 22.9 m (75 ft) high pyramid-shaped gate tower is decorated with depictions of Vedic gods sculpted by artisans from southern India. The chief sculptor was the late S. T. Muniappa from Tamil Nadu and is credited for creating the 228 idols on the gopuram.
