This temple, dedicated to Bhagwan Shiva, is notable for its towering vimana (temple tower), which stands at approximately 120 feet, making it one of the tallest in South India. Built in the 13th century during the reign of Kulothunga Chola III, the temple showcases the exquisite craftsmanship of the Chola dynasty, evident in its intricate carvings and sculptures.

The name "Kampahareswar" translates to "the God who removes fear," reflecting the deity's role in alleviating the fears of devotees. The temple complex includes a sanctum sanctorum, various halls, and a sprawling courtyard, all adorned with detailed stone work depicting religious scenes and deities. The principal deity, Shree Kampahareswarar, is worshipped in the form of a lingam, a representation of Shiva. An important feature of the temple is its stunning Gopuram (gateway tower), which is elaborately decorated and serves as a grand entrance.

Karpaga Vinayagar Temple, Pillayarpatti in Tiruppathur Taluk Sivaganga district, Tamil Nadu, BHARAT (India) 

It's an ancient rock-cut cave shrine dedicated to Sri Ganesh.

In the cave temple, there are rock cut images of Siva and other gods as well as several shrines. The Āgama texts found on stone inscriptions in the temple help to date the temple between the years 1091 and 1238 B.C.

illaiyarpatti Karpaga Vinayagar temple was built by early Pandyas. Karpaga Vinayagar is carved out in a cave of Pillaiyarpatti Hillocks. Thiruveesar (Shiva) is also carved in the rock of this cave. There are 14 stone Sculptures in the cave (dated from 400 to 1038 AD). These stone sculptures state the ancient names of Pillaiyarpatti such as Ekkattoor, Thiruveenkaikkudi, Maruthangudi, and Rajanarayanapuram.
