My favorite cheap design trick to make everything look naturally well designed is corner smoothing.
It makes rounded corners mimic the natural curvature of surfaces in the real world.

On figma, you can find the option under the 3 dots menu next to corner rounding.

For iOS, UIKit natively supports continuous curves via

CALayer.cornerCurve = .continuous

which matches ~60% Figma corner smoothing

For react and react native,
@shopify/react-native-skia is a 2D graphics library that brings google’s skia graphics engine to react native. Here however, since it is very performance-intensive, it is a must to build only major UI containers and elements per screen or performance quickly degrades.

For flutter,
The

SmoothRectangleBorder

can be provided to a regular

ShapeDecoration

with a custom

SmoothBorderRadius

My favorite way of utilizing this to build surfaces is by rounding corners extensively (~36 px for a mobile screen) then putting this rounding to 100% to achieve a “squirkle” effect

It is such an odd and hypocritical act to include a whole Time and well-being section in your app while also having so many carefully engineered ways to get users beyond addicted to the app.
EU should go after apps like tiktok and Snapchat

The state of software is frightening. you cant even log in to billion user apps without running into a bug.
