For the first time in history, a private company has succeeded in landing a lunar rover safely on the moon.
In this mission, the American company Firefly sent the Blue Ghost rover to the moon to conduct scientific experiments and successfully landed it on the moon.
This mission is part of NASA's CLPS program, which allows the agency to cost-effectively and economically send scientific equipment to the Moon so that they can conduct scientific experiments, paving the way for the agency's Artemis mission to have a permanent base on the Moon and re-establish it on the Moon.
During this program, four landings were made to Intuitive Machines, three to Firefly, two to Astrobotic, and one to Draper, both to send the organization's scientific equipment to the moon and to establish a commercial market for space transportation to the moon.
With this landing, Firefly will fulfill part of its $101 million contract with NASA. The cost, according to estimates, would have been about $500 million if NASA had done it itself, but now NASA is simply a customer of these companies, paying only for the service, and the entire cost of building the lunar rovers is borne by the companies themselves.
The rover, which can last for about 2 weeks on the moon, is equipped with various equipment, including EDS, which uses only electric current to remove dust from various surfaces of the rover. The LuGRE system allows the rover to locate itself via the Earth's GPS system, and with the PlanetVac system, the rover can collect lunar dust and soil for sampling without the need for gravity and by emitting gases at high speed.

British company Pulsar Fusion has unveiled Sunbird, a space tug powered by a fusion engine that could cut the flight time to Mars to 30 days. Unlike chemical engines, the new fusion engine provides greater thrust and efficiency
Orbital testing will begin in 2025, and the company plans to achieve controlled thermonuclear fusion in space by 2027. Sunbird could form the basis of a new generation of tugs for interplanetary missions. The project strengthens the UK's position in the space race and could radically change the approach to deep space exploration
