If you don't want to keep the browser tab open while a file is being uploaded, follow these steps:

1. File Upload from Device:

Wait until the file is successfully uploaded from your device.
Once the "Status: Uploading To Backend Server" message disappears, you can safely close the tab.


2. URL Upload:

Add the URL and observe the upload progress.
As soon as the progress is displayed, you can close the tab.
The file upload will continue in the background.


Note: If you close the tab, you won't be able to reconnect to the progress.

♻️ Are Your TG Drive Files Getting Deleted Automatically?

First, let's understand how TG Drive stores your files:

TG Drive saves your files on Telegram, with a local database file that keeps track of the uploaded files, their folder locations, and their status (e.g., deleted or in trash). This local database is backed up to your Telegram channel every minute. You can adjust this interval to suit your needs.

The Problem:

Free deployment services like Render, where you might have hosted your site, can shut down automatically after some time. If the service shuts down within the minute between backups, any newly uploaded files might not get saved in the local database file. Even though the files are still on your Telegram channel, the database will not reflect the new files.

To Fix This:

1. Use Reliable Services:
- Consider using deployment services that do not shut down automatically.
- If keeping the website active through pinging is an option, use the WEBSITE_URL and modify this line for more frequent pings.

2. Decrease Backup Interval:
- Lower the DATABASE_BACKUP_TIME variable to 10 or 20 seconds. This way, the backup file updates more frequently, reducing the risk of data loss.
