New Sim Card rules in India 2023, valid from 1 December 2023.

1. 𝗦𝗶𝗺 𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗿 𝗩𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: A sim card dealer or someone who wants to sell Sim cards need to do a verification and they will also have to get the sim cards registered, telecom operators are responsible for police Varification.

2. 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Customers who buy sim card needs to submit their Aadhar Card and demographic data.

3. 𝗕𝘂𝗹𝗸 𝗦𝗜𝗠 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗜𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲: One person can only buy upto 9 sim cards. More sim cards can only be purchased through a business connection.

4. 𝗦𝗜𝗠 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝘂𝗹𝗲: After the Sim Card is deactivated, it will be issued to another person after 90 days.

5. 𝗣𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀: SIM selling vendors who would have not been registered by November 30 will have to pay fines of up to Rs 10 lakh and there may be chances of imprisonment.
