🦴 The next AirPods Max could get a bone conduction audio feature for confidential calls

According to Apple's patent, the feature will be able to activate automatically when it detects key phrases that could indicate a confidential call. It will also be able to be turned on forcibly or assign certain contacts to bone conduction-only calls.

The technology allows sound to be broadcast not through speakers, but through vibrations transmitted into the skull so that only the callers can hear the sound, not the people around them.

The patent also states that the information from the cameras will also be used to identify the call as confidential. This is probably relevant for video calls.

💊 Engineers at UCLA have created a minimalistic health-tracking device. It collects sweat from your fingertips and passes it through sensors.

The gadget continuously tracks how much glucose and vitamins are in the body with an accuracy close to giving blood. Perhaps in the future, scientists will add automatic administration of medications: for example, insulin for diabetics in case of high sugar.

Bloomberg: Apple's presentation will be held a day early because of a huge fine from the EU

Apple usually holds its presentations on Tuesdays, exceptions are rare. Shortly before the September presentation, various insiders claimed that the event would take place exactly on Tuesday, September 10, but Apple decided to hold the event a day earlier.

Analyst Mark Gurman said that the reason for this decision lies in the record fine of $ 14 billion, which the supreme court of the European Union may impose on Apple as early as September 10 in the case of tax evasion. So that this event would not overshadow the announcement of the iPhone 16 and other new products, Apple decided to hold the event on September 9.
