Researchers from the US have developed a new adaptive control algorithm for autonomous drones based on machine learning. Unlike standard approaches, the new method does not require knowing in advance what difficulties the drone will face in the air. The AI model "learns everything it needs to know from a small amount of data collected during a 15-minute flight. It then helps mitigate the unpredictable effects of sudden gusts of wind.
