Elon Musk presented an updated company strategy: next year, five unmanned Starship vessels could be sent to the Red Planet carrying Optimus humanoid robots. The goal is to test key technologies, including in-space refueling. According to Musk, the likelihood of the mission happening on time is 50/50. If all goes well, manned missions could take place as early as 2028–2029. And by 2033, as many as 500 Starship vessels are expected to depart for Mars.
