Jio says it won't allow data vouchers to work on top of voice and SMS only plans that cost Rs 448 and 1748.
1) Jio's social media team confirmed on X that data vouchers or boosters won't work if the user only has a voice and SMS plan active on their account.
2) At the same time, Vodafone Idea and Bharti Airtel have said that they will allow the use of data vouchers on top of their voice and SMS only plans.
This makes things interesting.
3) Jio's move actually is to discourage users from recharging with these plans.
Because in case the user needs to use data, he/she won't be able to make use of the short-term data vouchers thst start at Rs 11.
