As per a new report by Business Standard, citing sources within Apple, the brand has drastically cut its margins on the iPhone 17 in India.

It emphasizes that the ₹99,900 price hike is after the margin cuts.

If the brand kept its usual margins while hiking the iPhone 17's price, it would've cost a lot more, at roughly ₹1,14,900 for the base 256 GB variant.

This is just an example of how badly memory crisis is really affecting consumer tech companies. Even Apple isn't spared from its effects.

iPHONE DUO IS ALREADY RUNNING HOT 🥴

Tim from 影视飓风 (MediaStorm) tested Apple’s first foldable iPhone Duo and reported serious heat during recording.

→ Around 3 minutes of 4K 60fps recording at Apple’s launch event made the phone extremely hot and difficult to hold.

→ He described it as one of the hottest phones he has tested.

→ He believes the internal layout, with computing and signal components concentrated near the camera area, could be one reason.

→ The outer display also reportedly showed flickering after he unfolded the phone backwards. He said he did not use force.

→ Apple customer service said a single-device test can have limitations and suggested users experience the phone in stores after launch.

→ Apple also said new devices may need 3–5 days to adapt after initial setup.

→ Damage caused by bending the phone backwards would not be covered under warranty.
