India's refurbished smartphone and laptop market is expected to grow by around 12% in 2026.

The reason is easy to understand.

A new flagship phone can easily cost over ₹1 lakh today.

For many buyers, a certified refurbished iPhone or MacBook offers almost the same experience at a much lower price.

This is no longer just about saving money.

People are becoming more comfortable buying refurbished devices, especially when they come with a warranty and proper quality checks.

Interestingly, experts don't believe this will hurt sales of brand-new smartphones and laptops.

Instead, both markets are expected to grow together as more people enter the premium device ecosystem through refurbished products.

UPDATE ON THE TATA ELECTRONICS CYBER BREACH

India's government says it has found no evidence of any critical information loss in the June 2026 cyber breach at Tata Electronics.

This is the same breach that reportedly exposed documents linked to Apple's unreleased iPhone 18 Pro last week.

Tata Electronics also says the incident had no impact on its operations and that it is working closely with MeitY and CERT-In as the investigation continues.

Microsoft is testing a new Windows 11 Copilot feature that can help users determine why their PC is running slowly but uses almost 1GB of RAM

Instead of searching through Task Manager, Copilot can check system CPU and RAM usage and explain in simple language what might be causing the slowdown.
It can also suggest ways to improve performance.

The feature is still being tested and isn’t available to everyone yet.

One detail that has caught people’s attention is that the current Copilot app can use close to 1GB of RAM after it’s opened, since it’s built as a web app that runs with Microsoft Edge in the background.

Valve has confirmed that the Steam Machine’s red overheating warning appears sooner than it should due to a BIOS issue.

Currently, the warning triggers at 95°C for the CPU or 90°C for the GPU, but Valve says these temperatures are within the system’s normal operating range.
A BIOS update will raise the threshold to 100°C for both, reducing unnecessary alerts.

Valve also explained that the custom AMD chip can safely run up to 100°C, with the system throttling performance if temperatures rise further and shutting down at around 105°C.

If you’ve seen the red light while gaming, it’s likely a false warning rather than actual overheating.
