Pavel Durov has announced the upcoming launch of a new feature that will allow administrators not only to block users who react to messages in groups but also to delete their reactions. Bots with administrative rights in group chats will have the same capabilities.

“The issue with spam bots reacting is well understood. We have started working on a solution. Soon, it will be possible to ban users directly from the list of reactions and remove all their previous reactions in the group.

This functionality will also be available for automated moderation bots through the Bot API.”
