➤ AMD Announces Ryzen 5000 C-Series CPUs for Chromebooks
AMD, via an official press release, has revealed the new Ryzen 5000 C-series processors for future Chrome OS-powered devices. There are four new CPUs under the Ryzen 7, 5, and 3 line, and the company says that these include the world’s first high-performance octa-core x86 processor for Chromebooks.
Under the new Ryzen 5000 C-series line, there is the Ryzen 7 5825C with an 8-core and 16-thread design and the Ryzen 5 5625C with a 6-core and 12-thread design. There are a couple of Ryzen 3 CPUs – Ryzen 3 5425C and 5125C, that come with a 4-core/8-thread design and a dual-core/4-thread design, respectively. All the CPUs are based on the company’s Zen 3 architecture and offer 15W of TDP, and up to 20MB of L2+L3 cache.
