ኢትዮ ቴሌኮም በበጀት ዓመቱ 100,000 ደንበኞቹን ከኮፐር ከፍተኛ ፍጥነት ወደሚያስገኘው የፋይበር ኦፕቲክ መስመር ለማሸጋገር የሚያስችለውን የኮፐር-ስዊች-ኦፍ ኢኒሼቲቭ በይፋ ማስጀመሩን ገለጸ። በዚህም 60,000 ደንበኞች በአዲስ አበባ፣ 40,000 ደንበኞች ደግሞ በሪጅን ወደ ፋይበር መስመር ይዘዋወራሉ።

Dr. Wondwossen did research on machine learning and natural language processing (NLP), focusing on local languages like Amharic. He explored how supervised machine learning can handle the morphological complexities of Amharic and worked on Optical Character Recognition (OCR) for Amharic manuscripts, advancing the field of computational linguistics.

Dr. Wondwossen also served as a Board Director at Zemen Bank, where he plays a key role in IT security, audit, and strategic direction for the bank’s technological innovations.
