⚙️ A massive new $450 million Tesla Megapack battery energy storage system is now operational in Victoria, Australia.

It's the biggest completed battery project on Australia’s main grid, and one of largest battery projects in the world.

It features 444 Tesla Megapacks and three Toshiba 500kV HV transformers, for a total of 600 megawatts of capacity and 1,600 megawatt hours of storage. It will soak up excess wind & solar power during the daytime and shift that energy to the evening peaks.
