On Indo-Pak Conflict: "Defeating the Monster Without Becoming a Monster"

"Modern war does not begin with missiles and tanks, but in the domain of public opinion. It is triggered by news, goaded by rhetoric, and fueled further by an unscrupulous media. Nationalism, when manipulated, becomes a cacophony that stifles reflective thought. As war becomes more like entertainment, wisdom stands diminished.
Currently, television studios and websites are platforms for the development and distortion of public opinion. The audience is confined to the space of passive reception of emotionally charged stories, and truth often stands shrouded behind spectacle. In this scenario, calls for escalation are, for the most part, emotive, and deliberation is rare."

Andrey Karpaty is a computer scientist who served as the director of artificial intelligence and Autopilot Vision at Tesla. In a recent lecture, he stated that LLMs (large language models) represent a new type of computer that we interact with using everyday language rather than code. Now, programming can be done not just by engineers, but by anyone who can articulate their thoughts clearly.
The process of software creation has become more accessible, lowering barriers. Karpaty believes this fundamentally changes the very nature of development.

Today, Letโs move on to the next topic in the Python Coding Challenge:โก๐
๐น *Day 11: Lambda, map(), and filter()*
๐ง *What is a Lambda Function?*
A lambda function is an anonymous function written in one line using the lambda keyword.
โ *Syntax:*
lambda arguments: expression
๐ธ *Example:*
square = lambda x: x ** 2
print(square(5)) # Output: 25
> ๐น Use lambdas when you need a simple function for a short time โ usually as an argument to map(), filter(), or sorted().
๐งฉ *map() โ Apply a Function to All Items*
Takes a function and an iterable, and applies the function to every item in the iterable.
nums = [1, 2, 3, 4]
squares = list(map(lambda x: x ** 2, nums))
print(squares) # Output: [1, 4, 9, 16]
๐งผ *filter() โ Filter Items Based on a Condition*
Filters the iterable by applying a function that returns True/False.
nums = [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]
even = list(filter(lambda x: x % 2 == 0, nums))
print(even) # Output: [2, 4, 6]
๐จ *Mini Project: Filter & Transform List*
nums = list(range(1, 21))
# Step 1: Keep only even numbers
even_nums = list(filter(lambda x: x % 2 == 0, nums))
# Step 2: Square the even numbers
squared_evens = list(map(lambda x: x ** 2, even_nums))
print("Even numbers:", even_nums)
print("Squared evens:", squared_evens)
You just combined filtering and transformation using lambda, map, and filter!
