access-xampp-installer

Xampp is a popular software suite that provides web developers with a local environment for testing web applications. However, the installation and uninstallation of Xampp can be challenging for users who rely on screen readers. To solve this problem, a tool has been developed to make the process of installing and uninstalling Xampp easier and more accessible.

The tool is designed to allow users to customize their Xampp installation, giving them control over which components they want to install. This is achieved through the use of radio buttons, which allow users to choose between installing all components or selecting specific components to install. Additionally, users can also choose the language of the Xampp control panel, making it easier for non-English speaking users to use the software.

The tool contains several important features, including a start installation button, which begins the installation process when clicked. The uninstall button allows users to remove Xampp and all its components, while the close button allows users to close the tool when they have finished using it. Finally, the copy code button allows users to copy the program installation code, along with its components, to use in other projects.

The tool is open-source and has been developed using Visual Basic .NET. This means that developers and users can access the source code and make changes as needed to suit their needs.

We have released WikiSearch version 1.4 a week ago.
What's new in WikiSearch 1.4?
This version includes many features and bug fixes.
Added several article lists.
Added the ability to save articles for offline reading. You can save the article within the program and return to it at any time.
Added the Favorite articles feature, which allows you to save any article to the list of favorite articles so that you can return to it at any time from the same list.
Added the History feature, a list that stores the articles you have visited and allows you to return to them at any time.
The Favorites and Saved articles lists allow you to rename the article and delete any saved articles. Press the Applications key on any item in either list and you will find the appropriate options. You can also use the Delete key to delete items or the F2 key to rename them.
You can save any article from the action menu in the article view window, and you can access these lists from the main menu in the main window. Each option has its own shortcut.
Articles data is stored in a file named WikiSearch.db in the WikiSearch folder in AppData\Roaming. You can delete a specific portion of the file's contents from within the program's settings.

Added a feature to detect Wikipedia links from your clipboard when you open WikiSearch. You can view the article in the program, open it in the browser, or ignore the message. You can enable or disable this feature in the settings.
If you paste the link of an article from Wikipedia into the search field and press Enter, the article will be displayed immediately.
WikiSearch now launches in the language selected during installation.
Some improvements have been made to the article display window in the html page. Due to a change in wxPython, the nvda screen reader cannot navigate through the list of actions. To work around this problem, go to any button in the window and press alt, and the menus will work fine.
Added the status bar to View article window, containing a counter for the number of letters, words, etc. in the article. You can get the same information by pressing numbers from 1 to 5.
Added a checkbox to disable the closing warning window when there are open articles, the checkbox appears in the same window.
The view tables window no longer shows empty lines.
Program windows now support resizing and dragging on the screen.

Updated the version of Python used to Python 3.10 and wxPython to 4.2.0. Replaced Pyinstaller with Cx_Frees.
Fixed a bug where WikiSearch returned a different article than the one selected in the search results.
Fixed a bug where WikiSearch would search in a different language than the one selected in the search language.
Fixed a bug where the closing warning window did not correctly display the number of open articles.
Disabled the previously available trick to increase the number of results above 100.
WikiSearch no longer uses Sapi5 to speak some actions when used without a screen reader.
Several code improvements have been made, as well as a number of small bug fixes here and there.

Introducing Sound Transcriber.
Sound Transcriber is an accessible audio-to-text conversion program designed to transcribe audio and video files, it offers support for extracting subtitle files and more.
Developed by Mahmoud Atef, Ahmed Bakr, and Qais Alrefai from the TecWindow team.
Features
Sound Transcriber offers the following features:
• Conversion of audio and video files to text using various transcription services.
• Saving conversion results as .txt and .doc files or as .SRT subtitle files.
Planned features:
We have several planned features in the pipeline, including:
• Translation of conversion results into multiple languages.
• Spell check functionality with dictionaries.
• Conversion of results into audio using text-to-speech engines.
Supported services:
The software currently only supports online conversion using Google's speech recognition, OpenAi's Whisper, and Meta's wit.ai.
Download:

We recommend that read the user guide from:
https://github.com/tecwindow/SoundTranscriber/
Over the past week, we've rolled out three Sound Transcriber updates, Last one was the stable version, Sound Transcriber v1.3.1. Below is the changelog followed by the download link.
Version 1.2.0:
Important, starting with this version, Sound Transcriber will only support 64 bit versions of Windows.
Added Spanish translation. Many thanks to Georgiana Frincu.
You can now convert videos from Youtube, Facebook, Twitter (X) and other services into text, so that Sound Transcriber will download the video and then convert it.
You can choose to keep the original file after conversion or delete it from the settings.
Pause and resume feature has been added to the transcription process.
You can now paste file paths to be converted.
You can specify the file extension that is sent to wit.ai for conversion from settings.
Sound Transcriber will try to handle files with names contain Emojis.
Sound Transcriber no longer stops during conversion. If this happens, you will still be able to continue the process.
Small improvements here and there.
Notes
Pausing is supported while extracting text but not while splitting files.
If you temporarily stop a process and then start a new conversion process, you will lose everything related to the previous process; Therefore, it is advisable to save the current result before starting a new conversion.
Choosing the wav format in wit.ai settings speeds up file splitting but leads to slower conversion and increased data usage. Consider trying .ogg and sharing your feedback on the results.
Version 1.3.0:
French translation added. Many thanks to Riad Assoum.
You can now open files in Sound Transcriber to Transcribe them from the context menu of supported file types.
You can now access Sound Transcriber swiftly by simply typing 'st' in the Run dialog.
Sound Transcriber is now able to automatically recognize interface translations and integrate new help files. To contribute, translate the messages.pot file using Poedit and save the files in the same order as the existing language files.
When the option to keep downloaded files is turned off, Sound Transcriber will retain them until the program is closed. This is particularly handy if you wish to repeat the conversion process with different options.
Several bugs related to the paste from clipboard feature have been fixed. Like ignoring certain paths, failure to start conversions from the detection message, pasting links at any time, and more. Many thanks to Dawlat Hassan for the note that helped uncover many of these bugs associated with this feature.
Fixed a bug that occasionally caused Sound Transcriber to start in a different language after the last update.
You can no longer open two instances of Sound Transcriber simultaneously.
Implemented changes to the conversion stopping method.
Various minor improvements.

PythonUniversalSpeech.
The Python library was developed by our friend, Mahmoud Atef, from TecWindow team. This library relies on UniversalSpeech, a C++ library developed by PlayRoom platform developer, which is used there.
The library enables your screen reader or synthesizer to read specific text in your program without the need to display it on the screen at the time of reading.
For example, we used it in Announcing actions in WikiSearch, service selection in Sound Transcriber, Announcing progress Bars, and other actions.
Previously, we used the Accessible output2 library in our projects, which required a lot of space and offered limited features.
Now, our friend Mahmoud Atef has compiled the UniversalSpeech library for 64-bit versions of Windows, expanding its compatibility since the library was initially compiled for 32-bit versions only.
Subsequently, he developed a Python library to work with this compiled version, making its features accessible to everyone.
This Change has been adopted for the next version of Sound Transcriber.
You can install the library via Pip:
pip install UniversalSpeech
For instructions on how to use it, you can refer to this arabic article: https://blog.tecwindow.net/1263/universalspeech/
Or using PythonUniversalSpeech Repository: https://github.com/MahmoudAtef999/PythonUniversalSpeech

In recent months, we've released several updates for Sound Transcriber, with the latest update coming out yesterday. We believe this version is very stable.
