I have posted a bunch both about Pippi and the Swedish magic singer Laleh here. So I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw today that Laleh has been asked to make an official born day song for… Pippi! She was asked by the grandchildren of Astrid Lindgren. Pippi turns 80 years in May 2025, but will live forever…
Laleh writes:
”I was very happy but also curious when I was asked to do Pippi's birthday song.
What would it actually sound like? Maybe a song where Pippi is still the strongest in the world but now also in the afterlife and where the big questions in life are mostly about what you feel like doing, where a simple "I'll see what I want" is the only great truth to relate to.”
