Here are also lots of Björks…
In Nordic languages ”Björk” means Birch trees. Look at all those eyes watching us! And then we have the black and white (94) again.
In Northern mythology (which is probably more true than everything nowadays) Björks are known to live longer than other trees… Because of that, they were perfect to plant as ”protection tree” at the farm. Every farm had a special tree that watched over them, and to hurt that tree would bring unhappiness to the family. The Björk brought magic forces to the farm.
I think they were even considered as holy in Iceland, where the singer Björk comes from.
The Björk tree was known to be under protection of the Norse goddess Freja. The Björk meant fertility and femininity.
The male version was the oak, under protection by Thor or Odin.
