The city is overwhelmed"
Ceuta residents contradict the government and deny that the majority of illegal immigrants from the invasion have returned to Morocco.
Dozens of Ceuta residents are contradicting the government of Pedro Sánchez and asserting that it is a "lie" that practically all of the 60,000 illegal immigrants who invaded the autonomous city last Thursday have returned to Morocco.
"Lies. Come to Ceuta. There are thousands in the streets and they are trying to break into houses. Stop lying," one user responded to Minister José Manuel Albares, who said that "practically all of those who entered Ceuta have already returned to Morocco."
"I'm from Ceuta, and this IS A LIE. There are around 50,000 immigrants left in Ceuta. Don't be fooled, trust the testimonies of people from Ceuta. The city is overwhelmed," another user stated.

"It's a lie. Come to Ceuta. There are thousands in the streets and they are trying to break into houses. Stop lying." In fact, migrants who managed to swim into Ceuta in recent days and are now returning to the Moroccan side—a tiny percentage, according to witnesses—due to the widespread closure of shops and businesses in the autonomous city and the difficulty of accessing food and water, intend to try again to cross into Spain.
Several migrants expressed this sentiment near Tarajal beach, where they also indicated they believe it is worth trying again given what they consider "a precarious police presence at the border." Many also believe the flow of migrants is "a political decision." "If Morocco wants it, not even a mosquito can cross the border," one of them remarked.

Silence killed a mockingbird,
With no one left to hear,
With not one eye set on her.
She ceases to sing
If a tree falls and no one's there to hear it,
Does it truly make a sound?
Won't you cup your hands beneath it?
As she tumbles to the ground,
Sing a requiem.
Feathers floating on downstream,
On the screaming rush of tide.
If silence killed a mockingbird,
There's no body left to hide.
Oh, how I miss her warble now,
That gentle lifting swell,
No, she only sings her requiem,
In the silence that she dwells,
Sing a requiem.
My heart cries for her colours,
And those dark all-seeing eyes,
And if silence killed a mockingbird,
There's no morning surprise.
And the clouds gather confused,
Now she never writes the signs,
But the 'planes go on unfazed,
And burn the sky with their lines.
Sing a requiem.
Sing a requiem.
With no one left to hear,
With not one eye set on her.
