Harry owes no one an apology. It doesn’t matter how politically “ill-advised” his memoir was, or what tone it took. It documented episodes of bullying, disloyalty, casual cruelty, & deliberate condescension towards him and especially towards Megan that took my breath away. The person walking around with the family’s knife in their back does not owe an apology, in the name of “reconciliation,” to the family members who put it there. I have been a supporter of the monarchy as a living link to our 1000+ years of British history for most of my own near 66 years, but if Harry chose to go fully no contact with his blood relatives I would support him just as firmly.

Prince Harry and Meghan were TARGETED by the press and his family. They targeted him and Meghan, and Harry called them out. Recalling that the Sussexes were trying to explain their reasons for quitting their senior royal positions, lest their reasons be embellished or falsified by the Firm, The FACTS that they were used unmercifully as cover for Andrew's scandal, as well as the laziness and indiscretions of Charles, Camilla, William and Kate is undeniable. They (and even infant Archie) were never protected, as the Firm promised. Why were the perpetrators never vilified, only the victims????
Wootton, Jobson and other "journalists" all said clearly that the leaks about the Sussexes were coming from the royal family, especially Kensington Palace. Why was no criticism aimed in that direction?? With everything else the Sussexes, and especially Meghan, as a pregnant then new mom, had to endure (the Markles' madness, the bullying "Meghan made Kate cry" (undeserved) mantra which only fed the hate machine, the intense "othering" scrutiny - from stockings to baby bump to car doors to incessant complaints of hand-holding, etc. And that is only what we actually saw or read. I dread to think about what was going on behind the scenes daily. Yes, Harry did allude to/mention a few examples of William and Kate's behavior towards Meghan. Most of Harry's major claims were aimed at the ever-intrusive tabloids/media. Because they were OBVIOUSLY not being protected, all forms of media and trolls took a virtual hatchet to H&M a daily basis and that was while the were still over-performing senior royals. That family may be royal but they are certainly not noble.
As with the Andrew scandal, too many feel too comfortable blaming the victims instead of the perpetrator. Not all of us are so jaded.
