I've been an American expat living in Japan for just under 20 years working as an airline pilot here for a Japanese carrier. I'm fully immersed in Japanese society nowadays after all these years, speak the language quite fluently, and am married to a Japanese wife who is an economist and professor. I can say that the average adult Japanese man and women truly hate China and Chinese people and foreigners in general once they start opening up about what they really believe. It's kinda over the top. They feel emboldened that the US military has their back, tho but also generally want the US military out of Japan. The Japanese are definitely waking up. They are starting to understand the "deep-state" and globalist agenda and how life is pretty much changing here and not for the better. It's a significant turnaround and wake up after being obedient and gullible useful idiots of the west for 85 years. Covid is really what made the change here as well as Abe assassination and the Trumps constant talking about how the Japanese are ripping off the US/tariffs didn't help. There are literally hundreds of Japanese youtubers and influencers talking about the US hegemony and how they are getting the wrong end of the stick. The government is getting nervous. It's starting to bring up debate within the Japanese government on what are limits of freedom of speech and what role does censorship play going forward. Most here feel its the pressure exerted by the US government that is starting to have the government look at clamping down on speech here. PM Sanae takaich is just a Japanese version of John McCain- neocon. She isn't serving the Japanese people, which is nothing new.
