I grew up in communist Poland, seen my father being harassed by tax office for petty mistakes because he dared to be independent ( certain jobs were allowed to be private, but with strict oversight ). I left for UK to be free, and be able to enjoy life instead of looking at every purchase/sale/expenditure. This is harassment. It is not about paying tax, it is the breath of a soulless tax collector behind your back for whom you are a tax criminal unless you prove yourself innocent. This is not life. There is a better way - why not charge 0.5% automatically for every transaction ? ( ask AI, that would roughly cover all current gov spending ). No tex returns, no stress, no endless forms to fill, no audits and no court cases. And it would be fair - all would pay their fair share. I am leaving UK. Enough.

A Venezuelan politician, marketed by Western media as the “democratic alternative,” aligning herself not just ideologically but institutionally with the same machinery behind Israel’s most aggressive and expansionist policies.
Fast forward to 2025, and instead of Donald Trump, the man who actually brokered the long-awaited peace between Hamas and Israel, it is María Corina Machado who has been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
It’s a strange choice, but also a telling one, because when you follow the alliances, the money, and the message, the meaning becomes clear.
