Shipboard deployment was new to me too, but the intel seems reliable and is consistent with the shutting down by the Russians of the Chernobyl ground station. It’s feasible, but the weapons require a great deal of power.

We would need to seize the ships and conduct a thorough engineering analysis. I briefed in someone with Administration contacts last night, along with someone on the ground in Texas, near to the site of the last attack on the US.

I doubt that any other form of transportation would have enough power. We don’t know what power source the ships have – could be fission reactors.

Under the heading “The July quake” is the most disturbing news that SHEWS are now on ships, from which I assume they can be operated? (I had always thought that the arrays required a large piece of real estate.) But if SHEWS are now mobile on ships, why not other modes of transportation?
